Wins within division and playoff wins sure are impressive when you see it laid out like that.

Is it weird my biggest takeaway from this was, "Wow, the Lions really had more division wins than the Bears and Vikings"?

Excellent post Shanedorf .. shows how the Packers dominated the NFC north.  Nicely done.

Did the Vikings have a couple of really, really bad seasons that I just missed?

I looked it up, and they were -67, -109, and -89 in 2010, 2011, and 2013 respectively.  I guess that when Leslie Frazier lost, he got his butt kicked, and he barely squeaked by in his wins.  I guess that I just wasn't paying that much attention, because I don't remember them being super bad.

Also, the Lions sucked so much at the end of the 2000s that I just kind of assumed that it carried over to this decade, but it really didn't.  They have the same number of -50 point seasons as the Packers over the last decade.

Yeah the Lions are tough, they lose, but they keep it close.

Matt Stafford is better than he'll ever get credit for.

And can anyone explain why Jim Caldwell was released? He had a winning record! Caldwell winning percentage was 0.563, the last time a full season Lions head coach had above a 0.363 was Bobby Ross who got let go in 2000.

Last time they let go of a full-time head coach with a winning record Joe Schmidt in 1972.

Honorable mention to Wayne Fontes who missed .500 by one game, got released in 1996.
