First would be the Packers would need to have the cap space to carry the tag. Second would be no team is giving up high draft capital to give a WR 25-27M a year. Third would be the Packers wouldn't do what players and agents feel is a low class move made by low class teams. The Packers either sign him in season or they let him walk and take their compensatory pick.

I always forget about the cap part.

Thanks.

You've got to be joking with this comment.

Here is a list of five times it's happened in the last couple of years.

History of “tag-and-trade” outcomes for franchise players and teams (usatoday.com)

This is a business and whether players like it or not they are very valuable assets to that business. You do what is right for your business and in this case, if they can come up with the money to tag Adams, you damn well better do it. They could give Adams a list of 4 teams he'd like to go to but you DO NOT allow the best WR in the league to walk if you can help it without maximizing your compensation.

As far as the money per year, as others have pointed out, once the new CBA is signed that will look like a bargain.

Again, given our cap situation, I do not know if we can create the money to tag him, but I'm sure the effort will be made to do so.

It's laughable to think otherwise.

i don't like Wilson, but we would have won more Super Bowls with him than Rodgers.

Hmm, another Super Bowl and having to listen to a guy be evangelical about vitamin water or one super bowl and having to listen to a guy say “namaste” without irony during Tuesday interviews…

Tom Pelissero -   An MRI confirmed Lions CB Jeff Okudah suffered a ruptured Achilles, source said. Season over for last year's No. 3 overall pick, who was coming off a strong camp.

People don't come back the same after Achilles injuries. They seem to lose a step. This one really sucks for the Lions.

Peter Bukowski -   Aaron Rodgers in 2020 off a loss

23/34 283 yards 4 TDs
25/31 305 yards 4 TDs
21/29 211 yards 4 TDs

Packers were 3-0 with an average margin of victory of 16.

In the Matt LaFleur era, the Packers have never lost back-to-back games. Their average margin in the next game is +14. Rodgers has thrown 4+ touchdowns in four of the six games.

With Okudah out it should continue but nothing should be taken for granted.
