GB is often forgotten, from Coach of the Year conversations (3 years running with barely a mention--especially this year missing 3 All Pros for most of the year and winning without most of the starting Oline) to Pro Bowl votes (Bakh has more All-Pros than Pro Bowls) to MVP odds (how is Brady ranked ahead of Rodgers considering GB's O-line injuries and WRs #2-7).  It's baffling at this point.

LaFleur could have vaulted himself to the top of the list with a good victory with Jordan Love against the Chiefs.  We didn't run the ball .. didn't design enough easy throws for Love.  The line looked they were unprepared for the blitz.  That performance just reinforced the idea that the Packers and LaFleur's record is as good as it is because of Aaron Rodgers.  I think LaFleur is a good coach, but that was kind of a statement game for him and he dropped the ball.

Disadvantage of coaching in a small media franchise is a bigger factor. IF the Packers win out, Lafleur will have the winningest first 3 seasons in NFL History. It is total bull**** to dismiss that as not worthy of recognition IMO

you'd like him to win coach of the first 3 years award?  Doesn't exist.

Which positions do others on this forum think the Packers will address in the 2022 draft......and when ?

For those that want to wait until the future is clearer, by all means wait. I'm speculating on what might be, based on how units are playing and what effects the cap could have on the team.

Edge player Z.Smith is probably gone. I hope to keep P.Smith if possible. Good edge guys go off the board very quickly and it is an excellent year to be picking up someone at this position, so Edge is priority 1 for me.

It is likely several WRs are lost. Lazard and MVS may be retained if not too expensive, but I expect to lose Adams and Cobb, maybe more. That means WR is priority 2 for me (priority 1 and 2 are somewhat interchangeable).

While I've always wanted a big DE as a high(ish) pick, I think the Packers need a good TE more. I hope Tonyan is back next year but I'd expect to lose Mercedes Lewis due to age, although he has had an excellent year and still plays pretty well. Cutting Sternberger and the uncertainty elsewhere means TE gets the number three spot.

After the top three picks, I think the Packers need a CB (anticipating the loss of Kevin King), and a big DE (could be a DT but plays end). Later picks include first and foremost a return specialist for kicks and punts, another player who excels on ST to further upgrade that unit. I'd also look for another kicker to go into camp with Crosby (and stash them on the PS if Crosby wins the shootout). Kicker could be a 7th rounder or a rookie FA. Fill in the remaining draft spots with depth anywhere - the Packers usually snag an O lineman somewhere in the draft.

In order of priority then: Edge, WR, then TE, then in any order DE, CB, RS, WR2 (unless RS is a WR and maybe even then). Later picks to round out almost anywhere, OL, LB, S, maybe backup QB. there could be a lot of picks this year, so double-dipping is more likely this year than most - I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Packers come away with a pair of Edge guys and a couple of WRs. Least likely position ? I'd like to guess at RB because I like Kylin Hill's chances to stay around for a while, but given that there is often very good value late in the draft at RB, I cannot really say that - and just maybe the best KR/PR available is a RB - in which case say hello to 4 RBs on the roster.

Thinking about this now feels like a move that Bears fans make about this time of the year.

I wrote a frickin' novel here, but nobody has time for that.

Short version.  Must make a lot of sacrifices to get into a working cap.

Draft needs:

1. Edge - Not ready for Garvin to be a starter

2.  WR - Cupboard is pretty bare probably looking at multiple picks at this position.

3.  DL - Like Clark and TJ, not super high on Keke.  Need more bodies

4.  CB - Have 2 good ones left but can't afford our FAs

5.  OL - because OL.

Peter Bukowski -   New Packers WR Josh Malone has some experience as a returner (7 kick returns). Could get a shot there with GB's special teams in disarray.

///

I've never heard about this guy. Did somebody post that we picked him up.....from where?

It's pretty obvious he meant win it this year while leading a consecutive #1 seed while dealing with a turd QB situation off the field.

seems like people want to give MLF credit for an amazing first 3 years and use that to complain about his not winning a single season award in a season where he's clearly at best the 2nd best coach this year.

MLF is an elite coach.

He is decidedly NOT the coach of the year.

Is Stokes good or is he not good?

Has King been playing well?

Where will our corners likely line up when Jaire comes back?

Stokes is very good! He's going to be great. Jaire lines up on the boundary because you don't want him inside getting banged around on that shoulder.

King has been broken more than he's been playing.

Think you gotta move Jaire around. Douglas and Stokes playing pretty well on the outside. The goal should be to get Henry Black off the field. Top 6 DBs on the team will be Jaire, Stokes, Douglas, Amos, Savage and Sully.

Agree I think it should go to Belichick.  What he did in NE this year yah I'd give it to him.  MLF is deserving he's done a fine job but BB gets the nod.
