Miami has a couple 1's and 2's in the bag already. Dolphins have been rumored to ready to pounce on Jones once he hits the open market, and Drew Rosenhaus is Jones' Miami based agent these days. I think in order to tag and trade, GB needs to have the money to carry Jones under the cap at the tagged price. And we aren't even close to that number. Hopefully this gives some us some draft flexibility if there is a smaller, shifter, faster body that can join that group and also bring a threat on returns. If they don't get him dealt or re-signed then they can un-tag the guy and let him walk. McCarthy was also fond of big bodies running down the middle of the field. Whether that’s at TE or WR seems to be less distinct in today’s game. That's the kind of contract Rodgers was waiting on since the Pack reportedly approached him in Jan. I think the Packers will be better off eating his cap hit this year and keeping future flexibilty rather than trying to restructure now. Yeah, I understand what you say, but J'Mon Moore was picked ahead of them in that same draft and didn't make the team after MLF arrived.
