But because of his RFA status, the Packers have the opportunity to match any offer made on him. So teams are going to have to overpay for his services on top of coughing up a draft pick to sign him. That's going to be a hard pill to swallow IMO. Tonyan's numbers for efficieny were off the charts. Even given the same or slightly more targets, he will probably fall off. You save $1.3M for cutting Jackson and 945k for cutting Burks, but you have to factor in their replacements for ~600k, and the total savings is around $1M. What with the new DC coming to town....thats a/the variable I cant assess when it comes to which of these two players is more expendable. By position, I'd like to wring any talent out of Jackson as possible before I jettison him. It's the "wet towel" method of talent evaluation. Perhaps thats assessments already been made (or at least Pettine's assessment is in the books). He (apparently) is a waste of time on special teams - so that cuts against his positional value and gives Burks a leg up.

I don’t know what coach Gray will do for the fringe guys, but I love that he’s back and will continue to coach JA while he continues to carve out his name at the top. It will be hard with the cap, but another great CB to pair with him in his prime would make us very scary for opposing QBs.

Makes me nervous as hell just see him swinging that thang around Willy nilly. Is he just shooting into nothing? I didn’t see a target or anything. Definitely pretty reckless lol. Putting his muzzle into the dirt before shooting it. His shooting form was arguably the worst I've ever seen in my entire life. Not to mention where was he shooting into?! My lord. Chili
We've been in the market for a WR for the last 3 years. It's no surprise Gute is looking under every rock again.

Chili
We probably won't be able to afford Golladay or JuJu. I think we tried to trade for Curtis Samuel a couple of seasons ago but like Robby Anderson last year he's hitting the FA market and likely pricing us out in the process. We tried to trade for Fuller and it makes alot of sense to go for him again as his suspension likely suppressed his value. If we're looking for a speedster I think Westbrook might be an affordable dark horse option for us. Corey Davis has to be linked with us because of LaFleur. One name which can't be ruled out is Josh Reynolds. He played in a similar offence with the Rams so he might be an affordable plug and play option. If all else fails, perhaps we could sign AJ Green on a 1 year deal. We're going to get good compensatory picks in FA because of Linsley and King so if we want to keep those picks we will have to be smart about how much we pay for FA. It would certainly help if a good WR was cut as cut players do not count towards to comp formula.
