Leader
Tom Silverstein - The Packers could guarantee Rodgers’ final three years and probably survive the cap ramifications. But if they start adding salary to three guaranteed years, look out. If they go $40M per year, e.g., they could face a $70M “dead money” cap hit in ‘24. Rodgers knows that if he is traded, another team can give him $120M guaranteed in a restructured deal. That team doesn’t have previous salary cap $$ attached to him on its books like the Packers. Makes it easier for them to do it, especially if they have existing cap space.
Leader
Aaron Nagler - We'll hear from Matt LaFleur, AJ Dillon, Lucas Patrick and Robert Tonyan after practice today. Going to be waiting on that Jordan Love availability...
Leader
Bill Huber / SI - PFF Rankings Show Packers Are Loaded at Skill Positions The Packers are the only team in the NFL with a quarterback, receiver and running back in the top six in all three categories. Aaron Rodgers is No. 3 among quarterbacks, behind only Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes and Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady. Davante Adams is No. 1 among wide receivers. Aaron Jones is No. 6 among running backs behind Tennessee’s Derrick Henry, Minnesota’s Dalvin Cook, Carolina’s Christian McCaffrey, Cleveland’s Nick Chubb and New Orleans’ Alvin Kamara. Robert Tonyan is only 15th amont tight ends.

R T
From Field Yates, When the Packers re-signed TE Robert Tonyan to his $3.384 RFA deal, the team structured it uniquely: $2.349M of it comes via bonuses, which prorate over 4 void years added. Tonyan gets that money guaranteed, Green Bay creates $1,879,200 in needed cap space.

Leader
Peter Bukowski - Big Bob Tonyan says Matt LaFleur asked him to come to voluntary camp and LaFleur said they're trying some new things with him, wanting to see how he handles some different concepts, different routes etc. Sounds like they want to feature him more in 2021. I remember loving Tonyan way before it was cool.
