the lone star
Would you all consider it with the depth there is in this class? I really miss 2014 where DeMarco was the lead back, but both Dunbar and Randle got their opportunities as well. All 3 could catch passes, while Randle could hit home runs, Dunbar was the agile back that run the best routes, and DeMarco was obviously the prototype for the team's scheme. Alfred Morris may leave as a FA, and while I like Smith, I still want a pass-catching specialist and/or a home-run hitter. So with that in mind, I really hope the team can draft a RB this year. If not, then maybe sign one as an UDFA (an Ekeler or Breida type might be available) or just pickup someone that is out there (look at what the Patriots did with Burkhead). D82
I think with one of our comp picks, it'd be worthwhile to take one.
WizardHawk
I'd love to add someone like Wadley from Iowa or Gaskin from UW.
Calvert28
I wouldn't be opposed at all if someone worthwhile was at our 3rd or 4th pick.
cowboysdreamer
Cowboy's some where later in the draft they need a change up back that can catch and has a lot of shake & bake in his running style. Or possibly a speed back like Walton out of Miami they have him going around the 4th round.

TVScout
We need a scat back. Someone who can run like the wind. Someone like Darren Sproles.
SweetFancyMoses
In rounds 4 or later, and as long as the prospect is a legit rb prospect that can run and catch, likely small school. Don't want another Lance Dunbar type, or the 1 dimensional grinder.
Tyronnosaurus
Only in round 5-7. But I do think it should be somewhat of a priority. As good as Zeke is, I fear we're going to run him in the ground. I mean in the last game, a COMPLETELY meaningless game, we gave him 30 carries against an extremely physical defense. I think they'd rather run him into the ground and get 4 mega, superstar years as opposed to 7 or 8 star years.

DaBoys
It depends on what we do with Morris. If he is out then yeah grab one. I feel like Rod Smith and Zeke will for sure be back. Rod is Jaylons brother and Zeke's college roommate, plus he did little to disappoint in his limited snaps. He is at the very least a competent\good RB3 with incredible organizational ties. No reason to replace. Zeke is obviously in so that's 2. If we keep Morris then there's no need for a wasted draft pick. I personally would like to replace Morris with a rookie like Sony Michel or one of the Alabama RBs. All of which could be had in the 3-5 round range possibly. Not to mention Nick Chubb, or 15 others that could add more upside to the roster than Morris. But it is a luxury no doubt. A luxury that might make sense for a team that (should) wants to run the ball.

Those are the rounds where you look for value and lower end rotational or developmental players. Sometimes you get lucky and find a few starters, but not often. Which, bodes exceedingly well if we get so many RBs taken prior to our 2nd round pick. Means another talent player falls to us.
