Phire
Here's NFL.com's scouting report on Watkins: Quote Watkins is new to the game of football, but has the strength and athleticism to play at the next level. He does not have the arm length and first step explosion to play left tackle, however he projects to be a quality starting guard. He plays with terrific balance and has the foot quickness to hold in pass protection. Despite his limited football experience, he engages very well with his hands and maintains a strong position. He will occasionally have lapses in his reads, but he has very high upside and will likely be a second day pick. And the same on Smith: Quote A high school quarterback turned pass rusher who broke out with 14.5 sacks as a senior (1.12 sacks-per-game average led nation), Smith projects as a pass-rushing, 3-4 right outside linebacker in the pros. Should contribute initially on passing downs and has eventual starter potential as his game becomes more well-rounded. That's just one source, NFL.com didn't have a projected round for Smith listed. I'm sure other outlets may differ.
Scalamania
One of my personal favorites from sbnation Quote Final word: Even though Watkins only played two seasons of top-level college football, he’s the kind of player an NFL team can draft and confidently play as a rookie. A college left tackle, Watkins projects to either guard spot in the NFL. He’s a powerful and aggressive blocker who should endear himself to his offensive line coach. He’s known as a mature, hard worker so it would be a shock if Watkins busted in the pros. or this from ProFootballWeekly Quote "Danny Watkins, a former firefighter, landing in Philadelphia is just perfect. It's a high-character pick by a team that values such things. It's a high-value pick because you know what you are getting in the tough offensive lineman

AZ_Eaglesfan
Smith for sure was the bigger bust at this point. He barely saw the field and contributed nothing to the team. At least Watkins played even if he was terrible. That said, Smith should have opportunities to play elsewhere so who knows if this changes or not
TheRealMcCoy
Watkins was heralded as one of the safest picks in his draft class was projected as a back half of the first round guy. Smith on the other hand was a guy most thought was a late 2nd to mid 3rd round prospect. Watkins is definitely the bigger bust by how they were touted coming out. Jeezla
Watkins, because his terribleness caused our QB's to get killed.
Bednarik60
I say Smith, he was just more pathetic overall but not by much.

EaglesPeteC
Danny Watkins was just a turd out on the field. The team was worse with him out there Marcus at least made a sack or 2. I say Danny.
Phire
I fully understand the argument for Danny being the biggest bust but personally if you suck so bad you can't even win a backup job that's worse than being a terrible player who started a bunch of games. At least you saw the field.
Bednarik60
I think if Watkins started his career in Denver or Seattle or New Orleans or Atlanta, he would still be in the league as a back up/decent role player. This city sheeeet all over that kid and mentally with his background/where hes from, he wasn't ready for it and never recovered. Can we stop acting like this cities fans arent savages?
