Well thats because he is slow. He ran a 4.62 coming out of college. What makes Butler a good player is his football IQ, his sheer determination and effort every play, and his physicality. He is one of the stronger tacklers at the CB position in the NFL (which isnt saying a whole whole lot but its true). He is able to stick with receivers not because he is fast or quick but because he studies and anticipates routes and never gives up on a play. Its why he gives guys like AB some trouble, because those types of WRs rely on crafty route running and technique. It's also why he is near useless against guys like Julio Jones whose freak athleticism carries them. Butler can not compete with guys like that.

He also ran a 4.4 at a NE tryout.

I don’t think he’s slow.

Gronk is expected to return: http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5729/rob-gronkowski

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the "expectation" is Rob Gronkowski will return for 2018.

Per Rapoport, Gronkowski did "ponder" retirement and took "several weeks off" after the Super Bowl to "let loose" and think about his future. While WWE and Hollywood are very real future endeavors for Gronkowski, the belief is those entertainment opportunities will still be there for Gronk whenever he does decide to call it a career with football. For now, it looks as if Gronkowski will be back in 2018. Rapoport says there may be no "grand announcement." Feb 28 - 2:15 PM

Any good tight ends in the draft? This could very well be the last season we see Gronk spiking balls.

hard to say what made him decide to stay but he might be in it to at least finish his contract in 2019. May be he hangs them when the goat calls it a career?

Or maybe he gets traded by Belichick this off season.

Hayden Hurst is Gronk-like. Best tight end in the draft. Mark Andrews is a pretty reliable pass catcher from OU. Mike Gesicki is a volleyball athlete with dynamic range and speed. Dallas Goedert is another athletic pass catching tight end with finesse route running and YAC ability. Troy Fumagalli is another big pass catcher with strong hand eye coordination. Most of these guys will be gone by the start of the third round.

And yet he has shown interest in WWE...

It's much easier to be protected in WWE than NFL. They can easily just have Gronk squash jobbers and not have him take scary bumps.

lol nope, that would be the worst run ever. If he was doing a celebrity guest spot.. fine. But to be a full time wrestler like is rumored? Hell no. He will be in the ring 4 to 5 days a week putting on matches and definitely taking bumps. They would milk him for all he's worth.

Looks like Kenny Britt is coming back as his option has been picked up (per @Rapsheet)

Interesting decision...

Except none of it is guaranteed, so ultimately it equates to a camp invite on an inexpensive deal
