Rodjahs12
Let Wolf bail honestly. Never understood the fascination with him even with the muh Ron Wolf meme not to mention his sense of entitlement has always rubbed me the wrong way.
Green19
I get the feeling the league thinks Wolf isn’t ready.... he is still crazy young so it might be ageist too. But when Wolf interviews you never hear how impressive he is. Brian and others you do/did.

I’d be hard until the season started at least if we can get Fangio. His defense plus a healthy offense. Good lord.
Rodjahs12
If Perry gets the DC gig I'll be worried. Unfortunately we've handcuffed ourselves with McCarthy staying as any DC who'd want the job can't feel great about his job security if McCarthy is fired next year or the year after. Although with Gute in place that doesn't seem very likely anymore.

Even if two candidates are equal in a vacuum, external candidates can see problems/issues/ways to improve things in a way an internal guy just can’t. This is why companies don’t always promote within for executive roles. Because they want to know how standards and procedures that have been done a certain way for so long can be improved on. Just promoting a bunch of guys because they’re younger doesn’t really do anything.
WaitWhat
Yeah, the Steelers had a terrible season after promoting from within for their new DC. Just terrible. EDIT: Never mind on that new hire. Thought Butler was new. But still, Steelers promoted from within and have done well, especially this season.
