As we have done in the past, we will vote on each team (voting will last for two days) before advancing to the next one before we get to the pick. This round will be done PRE-Free Agency, so for our purposes we will assume every major FA stays put. the second time we do this will be after most FA have left elsewhere. Each poll will have 10-20 options. If you would like to see someone included in the following round, include it in your post.

So, with the 4th overall Pick, the Cleveland Browns Select?

no darnold and no barkley...FMB (F--- My Browns)

I picked Chubb. DE due of Chubb and Garrett. Lets just say that idea gives me a chubb-y

I wouldnt mine Minkah but I hate Bama secondart

Haha...

When I saw that we went Rosen instead of Darnold at 1...  I was upleased which was actually good b/c it's just preparing me for the disappointment I'll feel on draft day when I want Darnold, but we end up taking Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield.

So, kudos to all involved.

With Saquon Barkley off the board, it comes down to a decision between Bradley Chubb and Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Minkah Fitzpatrick's skill set is redundant with Jabrill Peppers': That is, their best position is at SS and nickel box defender. You could pair the two, but Minkah never plays FS or mans the post w/ responsibilities to range in pass defense in line w/ typical FS duties. As Minkah the FS is a myth mostly conjured up b/c he has CB experience and strong movement skills, the truth that he is a tremendous SS prospect on the level of Jamal Adams (albeit less physical and w/ out the transformational leader intangibles) and will be a major impact player at that spot on day 1.

With that said, I'm starting to warm to the idea of Carloton Davis as a top 10 player after watching more film....BUT I have to go with Bradley Chubb at the end of the day. For a pass rusher with such gifts/talent, Chubb is the most relentless all out effort pass rusher I have seen in quite some time. Emmanuel Ogbah is a ascending player but he is too robotic as a rusher and not close to being a dominant pass rusher. Chubb comes in day 1 and is a force to disrupt the pass allowing Ogbah to be used as a run stuffing specialist with third down pass rush versatility (e.g., rush him from a 3-tech position).

I went with Minkah

Chubb is a great player and would look great across from Garrett

but we really need playmaking talent in the back end

Minkah is a do everything guy that QBs will have to account for

we've already got Ogbah right now so I'm going with Minkah

True but if you think about Chubb he gives the browns a true identity on the defense. A team with a nasty young trio of DEs. Hell, they could build the DL to be like the 07 giants but younger and more potential

I went with Connor Williams. Staley getting up there in age and there was talk about trading him before the trade deadline. They got there QB of the future with #1 over all pick, now they protect that investment with a bookend LT in Williams.

I’m always and forever team trade down.

In this situation I’d be looking for someone who wants to jump the Broncos for a qb, ideally the Jets.

Trade down with the Broncos or Jets is the only one I'd do, that way QB would go in the 4 slot and we'd still get Minkah or Chubb.

For this poll, I went with Minkah - our secondary was our biggest weakness on D. Disappointed Barkley went ahead of #4, but our new GM John Dorsey has a good track record of taking productive RBs in the 2nd round or later.
