Browns fans still go to games consistently even thought they have won a single game in two years. The fans deserve SO much better, and them showing their disgust by having a "protest" of sorts is the perfect way to tell the Browns FO that they love the team but hate the losing. They could all just stop going to games, would that be better than this??? In my experience, it's the only thing that ever has any impact By the way, I never said they did anything wrong. It's difficult to know what to do when you really love your team and want them to do well and the people running it just don't care very much. I'm not mad at anyone, I'm just saying in my opinion they look like chumps. Find something else to do with your life, until the draft. If I could do it in Detroit all these years, you can do it in Cleveland.
TecmoSuperJoe
It really depends on the owner as a far as stunt like this being effective or essentially being ignored. I remember a couple of years ago 49ers fans got so angry they flew planes with banners over Levi's Stadium ousting Jed York and Trent Ballke. Jed acknowledged that in his post season presser, and even though he's made some mistakes in the past he seems to be on the path to recovery. On the other hand you have someone like Mike Brown. What I've heard is that over the years Bengals fans sent letters and flew planes with banners, but it didn't do anything. That was just the 90's. Marvin Lewis is still the head coach of the Bengals and the franchise is slightly better than they used to be 20 years ago, but not by much. I guess being the owner of a team that went 0-16 and is 1-31 the last two seasons isn't going to be that great in Jimmy's social circles. Perhaps you just have to hope as a fan that all this losing is getting under his skin more days than it isn't. He probably wants to win, he just doesn't know how to do it. Maybe he thinks he's making the right moves, but is failing to realize that his decision making on who to hire has been the issue. Hard to fault him with his recent hires though. Dorsey and Wolf should make fans optimistic. Along with the 1st and 4th selections in his draft. Hue Jackson should have been fired though. Don't understand keeping him.
