After a quick visit in New Orleans, the former second-round pick decided to make Louisiana his temporary home Thursday, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Franklin bounced from the Broncos to the Chargers where he signed a five-year deal worth nearly $40 million in 2015. He made it just two seasons before hitting the market once again.

Does he have anything left?

I think he got crapped on way more than he deserved by a lot of Chargers fans, but I also wouldn't describe the performances he turned in as "good."  He's absolutely someone who you have to keep a stable situation around because his play was markedly worse when he was having to deal with weekly changes in who was playing beside him due to injury - he can do his duties, but if he's asked to pick up slack for someone else, he flails.

Orlando Franklin's opportunity with the New Orleans Saints didn't last long.

The veteran offensive lineman signed with the Saints last Thursday before training camp began, but after just five practices, the team released him on Tuesday, according to the NFL transaction wire.
