Best behavior this week folks, not that I have any doubts! :D Vikings fans are a classy bunch and ya’ll are too so I don’t foresee any issues.

I don’t want to have @vike daddy have to come in here and knock any heads together cause lord knows I won’t.

Lets Go Saints!

I reckon this game will come down on how our D handles their offense.

Our offense vs. their D is going to take a lot of work for us to put up points. Their D is essentially Carolina's D plus an all pro CB and an all pro safety. Yes we put 30+ points on Carolina, but it's going to be considerably tougher for us to score against the Vikings.

Our best chance to win is to give Brees and co. more bites at the apple to put up points. This mean we need to be able to put pressure on Keenum in a timely fashion. Newton had too much time when we blitzed the entire house, luckily apart from Olsen his receiving options were trash. We can't be put in a position to be playing catch up in a shoot out, so making them punt is key. Another factor to consider is with how physical our secondary has been, we have to be cognizant about PI calls.

In the end, I think on offense we'll see a big dose of Ingram, Kamara and Hill. Thomas and Ginn I reckon will be used primarily as decoys for us. I think we pull it out as Brees will continue to perform on the big stage. 30-27 for the good guys.

I was at the opener, as a Saints fan. Made for a long drive home (with my wife, the Vikings fan).

I'd like for the Saints to return the favor and have all my buddies drive back to Central Iowa with a big fat loss!!

I've watched the Saints lose to the Vikings too many times, and I'm tired of it. Let's get the D rolling all over Keenum & Co., and let's unleash the Offense on this Vikings D.

Just...win or lose I hope the refs stay out of it.

Dear god, this. The last thing the world needs is more controversy surrounding these two teams in a playoff game. Ref crew better be at the top of their game.

I think we'll lose this game on paper, but games have never been won on paper and I believe in our boys so I'm gonna be believing we'll win the entire time I'm watching the game. I think whoever wins this game is the SB favorite though, alongside the Pats because Pats.

^^All of this!

The Vikings have improved a bit since week one. Key words, "a bit".

The Saints have improved a TON since week one. That said, this is going to be the toughest game, and toughest opponent we play all year, even the teams we'd play after this if we do win.

As long as Drew Brees is under center we have a chance. I know he takes a fair amount of crap here from us but he’s fully able to will us to win this game. And they will probably make him. I anticipate the Vikings borrowing Carolina’s game plan and making us beat them passing. That’s more dangerous as Drew is perfectly capable of throwing a bunch of picks on the road. And also of playing lights out and pushing us over 20 points.

If both teams play perfect games that should see the Vikings winning. If we can force them into a few blunders - make Keenum give us some amazing field position once or twice - we have a pretty good chance here.

I’m picking us to win anyway because it’s us and because I believe. The first Saints game I ever went to had a guy yelling at us in the stands saying you gotta believe! I still believe. We can do this! Saints 27-21*.   Come on Sunday!

*I also think this will be a higher scoring game than expected. I don’t know why. I tried to write 17-10 as the final but I don’t feel it for some reason. I think we both go over 20. I updated to reflect that feeling.

Brees actually has a good resume on the road in the postseason IMO.  Almost every defense he's played has been a number 1 defense, sometimes historically great, and the other two times, in 2010 he played excellently, and in 2013 he didn't play great, but decent and we won the game.  His two worst games IMO have been @Chicago in 2006, which honestly was understandable, and @Eagles in 2013, which we won anyway on a game winning drive.

When we win, I'll need Monday to recover. My family and I are yellers. I couldn't talk well for about three days after the bowl in 2010.

Drew Brees Playoff stats are so ridiculous. The guy has some of the best averages ever for a QB in the regular season, but then takes it to a whole different level in the playoffs against the best teams in the NFL.

A couple notable things here are his Int% drops almost in half from the regular season down to just 1.4%. He averages 326.3 yards passing, which if done for a full 16 game season would be 5,220 yards. His QB Rating average is over 100 in the playoffs.

The Saints are one damn fine football team. As a Vikings fan, I was SO pulling for the Panthers last week because I was very confident the Vikings could've handled them despite a loss to them last month. Ah, well.

The cliche is true; to be the best you've got to beat the best and I'm looking forward to one heck of a game on Sunday. Like everybody else on the board, I want the coaches and players on the field to decide the contest, not some pencil-necked dweeb in NYC watching a replay.

It's not 2009 and it's not even week one of 2017. These are two well-balanced opponents and I'm hoping the home crowd grows fangs and makes home field a real advantage. It might come down to who's cagier, Zim or Payton.

I've been to N'awlins; awful nice folks down there, and some of the best food ever. I'm glad the comments are friendly.
