Dont understand, a few years ago he was rated a Top 3-5 receiver in the league, now i never see his name even mentioned at all.

He's in a bad offense with bad QB play is what

This. He's still a talent player, if you can get him a QB. I think he's not going to get into the top 3-5 discussion anymore, but he's plenty good.

Bad quarterback play is mostly to blame, but he hasn't done himself any favors over the last few years.  I've seen him quit on routes, drop easy passes and not reach for catchable balls...  His play has dipped a bit.

Yeah, but he was doing that even at his peak.

It’s a mix of effort and a bad supporting cast.

Honest question, can someone explain how his situation differs from Moss’ in Oakland? Moss got roasted for being a quitter.

It doesn't.

Pats should offer up a 4th rounder for him. ???

Too bad they couldn’t afford him...

That said, a team like San Fran should see if they can get him for a flyer. Cleveland, or Chicago wouldn’t really offer him a change of scenery as far as winning goes - or at least, that remains to be seen (yes, I’m saying I expect San Francisco to be better than the former two next season). Baltimore would make sense too but I’m not sure they need to add more age to that WR core.

Easy to forget the guy’s 30 now.

Something tells me he wouldn't be a very good fit in Shanahan's offense.

I’m not the most familiar with Shanahan’s playbook, but if he and the staff can make Marquise Goodwin look good, I’d like their ability with Thomas.

I also think that he's a victim of having a "1b" receiver in Emmanuel Sanders on the other side. Usually, such a good target on the other side opens up the field, but when your QB play is as bad as Denver's, it just means missed opportunities.

Get Thomas and Sanders a blue chip QB and I bet those numbers pick right back up.
