Mariota has an infinite times more playoff wins than Wentz.

An Oregon education, ladies and gentlemen.

Right so Mariota has 1 win against the Chiefs who were laughable chokers this year. Meanwhile the team that Carson Wentz was an MVP caliber QB with has not looked the same without him, but yet still manages to win a deeper playoff game with Nick Foles. LOL

Mariota might be better than he performed this season, but if you're trying to say Mariota is better the Wentz right now then you're the definition of a homer.

Yet another coach gets the blame for the incompetent/ineffective quarterback...

This is silly. When you constantly put a young quarterback in positions to fail, eventually, he's going to fail. Mularkey and Robiskie's offensive scheme was figured out by the second half of last year and despite DeMarco Murray's regression, they elected to double-down on being a pure power-run team this season. They forced the run game, routinely placing the offense behind the chains due to an underperforming running back being paired with an underperforming offensive line. And, when it finally became a passing down, we'd frequently move to max protect with only two or three receivers running routes.

Mariota was hurt and, without question, did not play up to the expectations that were there after his first two years in the league. But that's not why Mularkey got fired. Mularkey got fired because anyone with half a brain could have watched the 2017 Titans offense and recognized the archaic, predictable disaster that it was. Ownership was willing to give him an extension. Jon Robinson was willing to give him an extension. The only caveat was that he had to be willing to move on from Robiskie and try to find a 21st century offensive system. He flat out refused. So the two parted ways. And, in a rare case, the word mutually wasn't actually just a franchise trying to spin things.
