I just know he seemed drunk when he did MNF and he snapped his leg and changed his name to sound like Heisman. His stats seem like hes a cross between Flacco and Fitzpatrick which...isn't great lol. Comparing QB stats from the Theisman era to QB's of today is less than pointless.

Boston is said to have issues in locker rooms, I could see how teams stay away from a stop gap with authority problems

These two guys have two combined playoff appearances n 12 seasons between them (Boston's first seasons years in Carolina). I was on Team Boston for most of the offseason, but I really like the pair we have now.

You're the one who seems to think that Theismann having stats that don't match up well with modern day QB's is somehow relevant. Feel free to live in ignorance. Leader
ESPN: Who is your early pick for Defensive Rookie of the Year? Matt Bowen, NFL analyst: Darnell Savage Jr., S, Green Bay Packers. Savage can close on the ball with immediate speed, and his playmaking versatility in the secondary gives defensive coordinator Mike Pettine some real options in the game plan. Play Savage in the post, roll him down in coverage over the slot, or allow him to blitz in sub-package schemes. I would love to coach this guy. Kevin Seifert, national NFL writer: Darnell Savage Jr., S, Green Bay Packers. This decision involves a bit of voter projection. Savage is a speedy playmaker who is known for anticipating throws and getting early jumps on the ball. Voters usually notice, and often reward, defensive players who pile up tangible statistics such as sacks, interceptions, passes defensed and forced or recovered fumbles. That should put Savage in the mix, given that there is likely an immediate starting job awaiting him.

I'm 27 and I have no idea what a good QB was before the 90s. Everyone says Bradshaw was awful but hes got hardware. Its May and there's nothing to talk about anyways. Do the averages hold up at all? From the very small amount ive seen he looks average as bud light. Edited May 10, 2019 by HighCalebR

But (currently) there's no way to rewind our brains so we're not tainted by our current view of the game Theismann was very good and he played on some very talented teams, including a killer OL called the HOGS But all you really need to know is that on Monday night October 17, 1983 - The Packers were better. Really good player, just short of the top dogs in that early 80s era and the passing era was just starting as he was coming into the league in the 70s and the Redskins were slower than most to give that up. Career ended on Lawrence Taylor snapping his leg like a tooth pick in one of the most gruesome injuries I've ever seen. Perfect candidate for the hall of very good.
Leader
Battle of the Carolina's............ The South Carolina Senate has agreed to provide $120 million in tax breaks to the Carolina Panthers to move their practice fields and team headquarters out of North Carolina. The 27-15 vote Thursday came after contentious debate with several senators questioning whether public money should be given to a billionaire NFL owner and the $3.8 billion proposed economic benefit of the new facility is wildly exaggerated. The bill would exempt the Panthers from paying state income taxes for players, coaches and other employees for 15 years as long as they use the money to build their new complex near Rock Hill. The team will continue to play games 15 miles (24 kilometers) north in Charlotte, North Carolina.
