I don't think the league wants it to be a travelling event. They want it to be a business interview.

The other advantage of Indy is that it has no night life, so guys aren't coming into workouts hungover.

I disagree.

-The nfl is a business that tries to monetize everything.

-Scouts already go out in Indy.

-If a kid is dumb enough to come hungover to the combine after training 2 months it’s on them. I don’t see this being a major issue (college players gave up Friday night all season 3-5 years already)

The truth is they don’t really need a full football stadium for the combine. They could get away with using a basketball stadium.

They may not need all the seats....but having a regulation football field sure does come in handy.

A. I don't buy it even though Lynch is crazy enough to try it.

B. While I don't want to see the Niners get better, I'd almost be satisfied to see Jimmy G basically being slapped in the face by his own organization by bringing in the old guy who NE kept over him in the first place.

If Lynch thinks dumping JG in favor for TB enhances the teams chances.........
I doubt he thinks that.

Yuck wouldn't that give them like $60mm tied up in QBs?

Then they can trade JG back to NE and Billy can have his guy back.

Didnt Lynch win some kind of "Executive of the Year" award?
Maybe not.....but if he ever did....and made that trade....he should melt the trophy.

ohhhhhhh. wow that would be bananas lol

not so sure this iteration of brady is *that* much better than guwop though.

Probably not much better, but they made the super bowl with JG anyway. Give me Brady's experience with that run game and defense

I was being mostly sarcastic, although if he actually did bring in Tom, I don't see how Jimmy G would stick around.  If Lynch thinks it can bring the 49ers a Super Bowl, who knows what kind of crazy **** he'd do.
