I wish we drafted Juju or Kamara instead of Josh Jones

Why is everyone so down on Jones?  The guy was a rookie last year and got a lot of experience.  Sure he looked lost at times, but so did a lot of veterans in Dom's scheme.  Let's see what he can do in his second year before throwing the towel in on him.

I think one could want either JuJu or Kamara without being down on Jones.  Wanting 2 guys who looked like they bordered on stars as rookies isn't throwing the towel in on Jones even though he looked more like a massive project.

I think one of the big improvements will be having Joe Witt as the passing game coordinator- putting the entire defensive backfield together under the one position.  It just seemed to me that last year the corners and the safeties were rarely on the same page.  A complex defense and separate coaching rooms makes life hard on rookies, and playing good zone defense impossible.

Simplifying the defense and getting everyone on the same page will really help a guy like Jones out.

This. I like the skillset Jones has. But Kamara was the OROY and drafted a few picks after, and JuJu was drafted the pick after at a position where we could use a WR2. Losing Jones would put our safeties at an interesting spot, but maybe we would have moved Randall to safety instead of trading him, idk

I don’t think Kamara has half the production he does in Green Bay as he does I. New Orleans with Brees. I agree with JuJu though, he would be an awesome fit

As a receiver probably not because our headcoach isn't on the same level as Payton when it comes to running an offense.  As a runner though, I think he'd had been substantially more productive had he had the same health he had in NO.  He'd have likely taken over after Monty's miserable start/ injury and seen more than the 3 starts he seen in New Orleans (with 12 carries being his season high).  Doubt he'd have had another back on the roster almost double him up on carries like Ingram did.

He was one of the most dynamic players in the league last year and I don't think that he was that dynamic only because he played for the Saints.

Hindsight is 20/20. Bet there are over a hundred guys we could go back and say that about, just in the last decade.
