Still don't understand why we never drafted him. He's never been in an offense like ours and could easily bump Sternberger as TE2 IMHO.

He's only played in one game in the last three years and barely been on teams 53 man rosters... if he can't make any teams roster, is he really that good?

Adam Schefter -   And now the Titans have shut down their facility again after a coach tested positive.

  • Bill Huber -   Now, the big decision might have arrived. The league can't push the game back any further since it's already scheduled for Tuesday. And the Titans burned their bye last week to reschedule that game. Forfeit? Week 18? Play anyway and hope for the best?

My 2 cents. Until a player from another team contracts COVID from a game, I think you can keep pushing these games forward and just isolating the infected players. It's obvious the Titans and Patriots both had COVID positive players (or players where the virus was incubating) playing against the Vikings and Chiefs and both of those teams have come out fine to date. Much was made about Gilmore's postgame contact with Mahomes, yet Mahomes, to date, is fine. There still is zero evidence of any in game transmission and based on how the virus is transmitted anyways, it's not likely. As such, the risk seems minimal if you just remove and isolate the COVID positive players and play the game - even if another player or two from the infected team gets it after the fact, like we've seen happen in NE.

At this point, a positive COVID test appears to be more like an "injury" than a situation where if you have it and play, you're going to infect your opponent.

I really hope they have to forfeit. Make these teams take it seriously

That is what I wanted for baseball.  Expand the rosters.  If you can't field a team, you lose.  No reschedules.  It would have killed my Cardinals, but it would make things more interesting, and keep the players accountable.

Give the NFL like a 65-70 man roster this season.  If you can't field a team, you lose.  If both teams can't field a team, home team loses.

Man these defensive pass interference calls are so bad throughout the league. Just saw another terrible one called in the Philly-Pitt game.

Remember the old Devin Hester play, where he would run deep, then Grossman would chuck it somewhere in his direction and Hester would either stop completely, or run into the DB to draw a flag?

Yea seeing a lot of that. 2nd or 3rd and long and teams just chucking it deep, getting a flag.
