Albert Breer -    A little more clarity: The Titans have agreed to send their 2022 second-round pick and something else to the Falcons for WR Julio Jones, per sources. The teams are working on that "something else" now. Should be agreed to soon.

Bucky Brooks -   Big time move for the Titans but the acquisition puts major pressure on new OC Todd Downing. With only a year of play calling experience (Oakland; 2017), he has keep 3 stars (AJ, Jones and Henry) happy while stepping in to run an offense that was on fire under Arthur Smith.

Spotrac -   Julio Jones brings $17.3M fully guaranteed with him to the Titans, including cap hits of:

2021: $15.3M (GTD)
2022: $11.5M ($2M GTD)
2023: $11.5M

A restructure of this contract, & Ryan Tannehill’s 2021 salary are both likely.

///

Will this deal / restructure have any effect on a Davante extension?

Andy Herman -   Titans have Julio Jones and AJ Brown, one of the top receiving duos in the NFL, but unfortunately they didn’t spend a first round pick on either of them so they continue to not support Tannehill. Unfortunate.

Davante isn't getting an extension.

Probably not, I'd give Love the security blanket and take the comp pick.

Comp pick? You'd let him walk for a 3rd in 2023? No way I'd do that. I'd franchise tag him and then trade him. You'd get a quicker ROI and a better pick than a 3rd.
