Now, it’s been said. On Thursday, an executive from Pegula Sports and Entertainment publicly confirmed that the Bills won’t sign a new lease at their current stadium in Buffalo without an agreement in place to build a new stadium there. “No, we absolutely will not,” Ron Raccuia told WBEN radio, via the Associated Press. With two years left on their lease, the implication is clear: get a deal for a new stadium in place within the next two seasons, or see the Bills leave. Move the Bills to Chicago so Chicago can finally have a professional football team?

There has been a slight bit of chatter about adding a second team to Chicago. The Bears recently bought a bunch of land in Arlington Heights and are looking at a possible move out of the city. The city and the NFL could look to move someone into Soldier Field if the Bears flee.

We love to joke about the Bears, but who would want to be the bastard child in Chicago? It would be the Bills for sure. The folks in Chicago love the Bears like they love the Cubs. Not only that, I wouldn't move anybody to Chicago until they got their crime rate under control.
Joe
Buffalo is the Green Bay of the AFC without the trophies and history. In other words, it's a small market team beloved by its community. They're going nowhere...

He asked the city for a new stadium, they refused, and built the new Gund Arena for basketball, Modell asked again, and they built a new Baseball Stadium for the Indians, he asked again, and they built the Rock and Roll HOF. He moved to Baltimore, and became the bad guy for moving. Edited September 3, 2021 by NFLGURU
