At this point, I think most people would say Steph Curry is hands down the greatest shooter to ever play this game.

I made the poll with the following names who I think are the top ones up for debate, but after I know I might have left a few big ones out like Glen Rice for example.

Really interested to see what people around here think.

edit: Left out Steve Kerr - had him on there and took him out without realizing it.

I voted for Reggie Miller. Lots of great shooters on that list though but Reggie was a thorn in my personal side as a Pistons fan for a long time.

John Stockton and Jeff Hornack might deserve to be on this list but it's a good list none-the-less.

Steph Curry is by far the most amazing and skilled shooter ever that cannot be argued but if shooting in the clutch is the most important factor than Larry Bird is the best the fact that Larry Bird at six-foot-nine could easily get off his shot against anyone he can fade left fade right follow through have follow through run on one leg up it didn't matter Larry Bird is by far the second best at least no one else would even shoot in the so many unorthodox ways is Larry Bird not real and not Steve Kerr not Glen Rice or not some of the other all-time greats so if Larry Bird is in the top two then this thread is vulite too many young folks

Pure shooting it’s Drazen. Youngsters don’t remember.

FYI, there was a story in a NYC paper that said after every practice Drazen would stay and not leave until 10 3 pointers were made in a row. Not so easy even for a great shooter. Part of his shooting success was made of hard work, like most of the greats I'd imagine, but the truly greats had the I don't give a F if I am off. With Drazen that was especially true.

But the real moral of the story is... Guys DON"T let your girlfriend drive on Germany's Auto-bon ..

*ducking for cover...

I'd honestly vote Larry Bird since he could shoot from EVERYWHERE on the court and wasn't merely a 3 point specialist...he could shoot circus shots, fade-away, spot up, hit running jump shots (a lost art)...and his height made it very difficult to do anything about it.

That's why I think Dirk has a case. There isn't a shot on the floor he can't make efficiently. I'd vote Klay or Ray, but I have to give my boy Dirk some love.
