And a really good bat, he'll probably be an above average defender at the end of the deal. Sano has done fine at first, and give him time there, he'll be fine and he'll be able to stick there for the whole of his contract with the Twins. Agree. I'm still confused/disappointed that when they moved Mauer that they didn't move him to third base. That's where he should have played, considering his defensive prowess. You don't need an elite fielder at first, so Sano should be fine.
PrplChilPill
Fangraphs thinks this is a five WAR improvement, which is huge. I'm truly shocked.
vikesfan89
As long as sano can learn to pick low throws out. I think Mauer and Cron saved a lot of errors

He made some highlight plays at 1st. I think his thumb injury really derailed his season.
swede700
While not normally considered important, since he's Rudy's cousin that makes it important.
The Gnat
Interesting for the Wolves. I don't think that Crabbe is that important for the Wolves long run. He's in the final year of the deal.
swede700
But, it certainly is important that they were able to unload Teague. He wasn't a fit for their style of offense.
VIKINGS101011
Thankful that I never have to watch Teague play another game for the Wolves
The Gnat
I mean, Teague was at least now a bench player for them and in the final year of his deal as well. Mainly, by getting 1 player back for 2 players, they've freed up a roster spot, that seems to be the most important part of the deal. Heimdallr
Tyler Miller isn’t on the same level as Mannone (who will probably be playing in Serie A or English Championship this year), but he is still a top-10 MLS keeper. Miller will be MUCH cheaper than Mannone, and doesn’t take up an international spot. Considering that Mannone would have required $1M+ salary, and an international spot, AND a DP slot, this is a very smart move.
Heimdallr
In other Loons news... We got a teaser of the new jersey If it has the wing pattern like the 2015-2016 NASL kit.... oh boy. I’ll probably get two
