The Gnat
The Twins offense is going to be very good. It isn't so much luck as young players getting better slightly faster than some would have thought. It'll come down to the pitching though, the Twins need another starter as between Berrios and Santana you have two solid ones. Mejia hopefully will improve some more, and Gibson pitched "well" enough to keep a rotation spot. But the Twins actually have a really good young core to the line-up with Sano, Buxton, Polanco, Kepler, Rosario and a hitter like Dozier still in his prime. They could add a little bit at 1B eventually (though that might be moving Sano over there), but the big thing will be the starters besides Berrios and likely Mejia long term. They have some prospects, it'll be how well they can do.
JDBrocks
They also have Gordon waiting in the wings, and I think Royce Lewis will be an impact player sooner rather than later. They really need to add a #1 pitcher. I don't think Berrios is a #1, but I do think that he is a high end number 2. If they can pony up for an Ace (Darvish/Arrietta?) the rest of the rotation falls in line: Ace/Berrios/Santana/Gibson/Gonsalves. The Bullpen should be able to get straight from there as they have a number of high draft pick arms that should be ready to see big league action in the pen with Stewart, Jay, and Romero. The future looks bright, provided they can bring in a power pitching #1 starter.
Klomp
Don't look now, but Wolves are 5-1 with Butler in the lineup.

SemperFeist
Great win for the Gophers! They came back with great energy and imposed their will on Nebraska after getting thoroughly embarrassed by Michigan last week. I have high hopes for Fleck and this program. I actually feel like this staff will bring the Gophers football program to the level that they belong. Also, I never realized that the Spielmans had adopted all of their children.

Klomp
I heard that Jason Zucker has a pretty neat streak going. Has scored the Wild's last 6 goals. KFAN was saying the NHL record is 7.

If Zucker scores in the next game, he’ll be the 3rd.

swede700
Yes, it's 7 consecutive goals, not consecutive games.

JDBrocks
Well deserved. I think that there is reason to believe that this resurgence is sustainable. A couple of significant moves this offseason could make them legitimate title contenders.

Hope so... when Tom Kelly won the award, the wheels fell off 2 years later and it took practically another decade to come back. When Gardenhire won the award, the wheels fell off the next year and never recovered.
JDBrocks
I think the new FO structure is going to do wonders for this team.
The Gnat
Wild with a home win last night and a goal in 12 seconds by Nino. Was watching a fair amount of the game, they didn't look the sharpest, but they've locked it down defensively with some of the offensive threats still out like Parise and Coyle.
