That level of organizational incompetence is actually impressive. Jimmy Rodgers was da bomb! Seriously though, probably the biggest mistake outside of firing Flip was firing Dwane Casey. The rest of the hires were all just piss-poor choices from the outset. Edited February 23, 2021 by swede700

vike daddy
The late, great Chris Doleman on Wednesday was formally inducted to the Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame during a virtual event hosted by the Star Tribune. Doleman is one of six members of the Class of 2020, joining Natalie Darwitz (hockey), Bob McDonald (basketball), Kevin McHale (basketball), Ed Rogers (football) and Toni Stone (baseball). Doleman — who passed away at age 58 on Jan. 28, 2020, after a courageous, two-year battle with brain cancer — was remembered as a "great friend and a fierce competitor." https://www.vikings.com/news/chris-doleman-minnesota-sports-hall-of-fame?fbclid=IwAR1sbZQ1-enYQKxHPbxS681O2nB8BFu0SST1BgbWJxb4oNEmGtrby672LIc

vike daddy
@RpMc what's like doing the strength training with the women players? what muscle groups have to be discovered? do they have any previous playing experience?

I don’t do the strength training anymore. I just do the football coaching. Only a handful of players played in high school but we’ve got a lot of division 1 or 2 soccer, rugby, basketball, or softball players that have some transferable skills from those sports. SemperFeist
Kaprizov is the best rookie in Minnesota sports since Randy Moss.

Peterson was fun to watch, but he didn’t electrify the team, or the fan base like Moss did, or Kaprisov has. It’s just a true shame that fans haven’t been able to watch him in person, and that FSN has drastically limited its viewing options.

Speaking of which, are going to be able to watch the twins this year? What all still has fsn?
Heimdallr
It is so great that NHL is going to be on ESPN/ESPN+ moving forward. ESPN+ is fantastic (especially if you like soccer)

I think that’s a little premature, Peterson did set the NFL single game rushing record as a rookie and was pretty amazing overall. Kaprisov has been amazing as well but I think we need to see how the season plays out before we say it’s better than Peterson’s.
RpMc
Lots of talk about Kaprizov, but Kahkonen, our rookie netminder, is leading rookie goalies in about as many categories as Kaprizov is leading skaters as well as setting the franchise record for consecutive wins for a rookie goalie. Probably watch ESPN+ the least but it is still nice to have, get access to their articles with that bundle as well.
