Unfortunately, yes. The Blues are 11-1-1 against us the last 3 years.

They're 2-0 against us this year.

I went to the Blues-Wild preseason game that they played here in KC a few years ago (it had been the first hockey game I'd been to since I practically grew up at the Met Center 30+ years ago) and the Blues won that one too.

I'm freakin' hoping one day that KC either gets a NHL team (unlikely) or the Pelicans move here just so I can catch a game here other than the Twins-Royals or Vikings-Chiefs (which only happens once every 8 years).

And as I understand from afar, that's the opponent they've had most trouble with, correct?

Calgary has probably been their toughest opponent, and a big reason they went out and traded for players like Deslauries and Middleton.

An unpopular opinion but I would've looked to deal him.

unpopular for good reason. That's a cheap deal for an MVP talent, injuries be damned.

Its a shame to see the told-ya-so guys and people making jokes on twitter right now. I feel terrible for the guy.

I've had this stance before his extension was signed. He's a helluva talent, when healthy, no doubt and it is a steal of a deal that I'm surprised he signed.

I've never cheered for an injury and never will.

Hopefully it is nothing serious and he's back in the lineup soon!

But…it was completely foreseeable. He is glass.

Have you been on Twitter ever?

I’m usually ok with twittiocy, this one gets to me for some reason. A genuinely good guy with incredible talent wanted to stay and play for the team that drafted him on a really team friendly deal, and “fans” can only say “durrr he got hurt again TOLD YOU”. Wow, that’s so novel and insightful, thanks for sharing.

It feels like people were waiting to be right about him getting injured and it’s gross.
