Before last year he was pretty good, enough for us to promote him to DC to make sure he didn't get that position elsewhere. But last year the defense was pretty awful. Was Vrabel in over his head? I mean, if they get an OC that can work his magic it's one thing, but for young coaches it can be hard to put a great staff together sometimes. A defensive head coach doesn't mean you can't develop your quarterback. If that defensive head coach promises you a great offensive coaching staff that's all that matters, plenty of top tier QBs with defensive head coaches.
