As we have done in the past, we will vote on each team (voting will last for two days) before advancing to the next one before we get to the pick. This round will be done PRE-Free Agency, so for our purposes we will assume every major FA stays put. the second time we do this will be after most FA have left elsewhere. Each poll will have 10-20 options. If you would like to see someone included in the following round, include it in your post.

So, with the 14th overall Pick, the Green Bay Packers Select?

Let's get some Packer fans in here to help influence the vote. In the event of a tie, their votes will act as a tie breaker.

Not sure why OL is a top need over EDGE rusher.

As AlexGreen noted, a few things will get sorted out over the next few months on the EDGE rushers with interviews and testing for various athletic metrics.  Between

Key

Landry

Davenport

Ward

Josh Jackson

If the board looked like this, I could see a small trade down.

I voted for Key, but could be swayed to one of the others listed above.

You should probably just include this somewhere lol. Near every fan base has something to say about it. At this point I'm sure you have this response copy\paste status

Major assumptions have to be made:

I assume too much baggage with Key

I assume Davenport might not grade well in explosive drills

I assume Ward may measure under 5'-10

I think the Packers go Jackson in that scenario - which would suck only because I'm sick of drafting them

Most Packers fans feel pass rush is our biggest need.  If D. Randall continues to improve along with Kevin King CB may not be the pressing need the guy at the NFL web page is suggesting.  TE is a bigger need than WR.  Nelson and Cobb aren't getting any younger but we don't have much at TE.

 I went with Landry.

I went with Landry. I wouldn’t be surprised on a trade back if the board fell like this though. I’m assuming Key has too much baggage but from what I read he is the best player of the three EDGE guys. My personal choice would be Jackson from Iowa but if they feel Randall is on the right track now that need becomes much less. In this situation Landry seems like the safe pick to me.
