SouthernViking
Zimmer is attach to the hip with Teddy. Let another team pay Case 20+mil. Let Sam go to Arizona.. roll into next season with Teddy, Sloter and mid round QB

The Vikes are going to have to devote $20m or so to Diggs and Kendricks very soon, probably this offseason. Throw in one of the free agent QBs, that's $30-$35m chewed up. Paying one free agent roughly half of what is available seems impractical.

Gotta pay Diggs, Barr, Kendricks, Waynes and Hunter next year. And a QB unless we just go full rookie.

vikingsrule
I wouldn't be opposed to bringing back McKinnon if he could be had for a few million bucks. If he wants to be paid similarly to Murray, he's going to have to find a new team. His skill set is easily replaceable.
vikingsrule
The defense seems to play better with Stephen as part of the rotation. I'd look to bring him back and let Tom Johnson walk. Unless Stephen can get a starting contract elsewhere, say 6m per year, I think he should stay.
gopherwrestler
McKinnon could possibly link up with Shurmur in NY
Vikes_Bolts1228
Cook, later round rookie, and Murray should be completely fine. Now, go sign Brees....get some DL/OL/DB depth and dust off our trophy case for 2018!

As much as I like Brees, I'm not signing a 40-yr old, who despite his brilliance against the Vikings in the 2nd half, clearly is not the same player he was even 3 years ago. I think he's on the verge of falling off a cliff.

They're more than capable of doing it again so why would Brees leave home to make a lateral move?

It's not like Brees still isn't a hot commodity.
