the lack of punting doesn't undermine the value of special teams though.

there were lots of missed kciks that could of changed the game.

Also the failed reverse on the kickoff to the pats really helped the eagles.

I think if the pats had held onto to Chandler Jones a long time ago it could of been a different story, there pas rush was poor.

the eagles pass rush was better than their stats showed a lesser QB would of been sacked more.

Yeah special teams is important. Punting just wasn't a thing in this game.

I agree I’m just saying the difference was as you said “a tad”. Neither QB has anything to feel bad about. If anything Brady’s defense should be committing seppuku in front of him right now. And Foles defense should be offering to spot him for every meal in the off season for bailing them out.

I honestly thought Brady was gonna march down the field and score on us really easy before that fumble.  I was thinking how upset I was gonna be that we put up 32 pts at that point and probably lose.  So glad, it didn't turn out that way. But, I can understand what you're feeling.

I haven't seen every Pats game and I'm not specialist on the state of their team, but I've seen their FG kicker miss some kicks in the regular season that he should have made and obviously he missed some kicks tonight as well (granted the botch snap is not his fault).  Is this a situation where the Patriots might be looking to upgrade or will they stay with what they have?  That FG he missed tonight was so huge and he missed it so badly.  If I recall, it wasn't that far away.

this is a fun lil tidbit but the last time the Eagles played the Patriots (iirc, i dont think they played 2016) they beat them soundly on special team play

Idk. Both kickers missed the PAT. The botched snap wasn’t on him.

Ghost hasn’t been the same since the Denver playoff game 2 years ago. Used to be automatic. He’s not anymore

I was actually going to say that, but I couldn't remember the timeline.  He used to be one of the best kickers in the league and now he's really not all that great.  He's been like that for a while now.

Get Vinatieri back lol
