I was wondering earlier if there's a component coming from all that testosterone combined with the concussion/repetitive subconcussive hits. Domestic violence is an issue nationwide, but for a league that employs between 2,000 and 3,000 players throughout the year, the number of players who get in trouble for DV isn’t any higher than the general population. So I doubt that there’s really any correlation between what goes on as football players, and how they act at home. I agree it is an issue nationwide but why does the NBA not have as many issues as the NFL seems to have with it? In football one can at times solve problems with violence and intimidation, clearly that sometimes carries over to relationships more often than not. Not to mention the environment some of the players might grow up in, where that type of behavior might be considered normal and or expected. Does any other major pro sport have one of their super star players strangle their pregnant girlfriend before they came to the league? Pretty sure football might be the only one there to have that. Not to mention Ray Rice who is one of the rare ones and never played in the NFL again after it, but then Kareem Hunt who is obviously still in the league and few if anyone talks about what Hunt did in that video anymore. vike daddy
Linebacker Nick Vigil agreed to a one-year contract with the Vikings early in free agency last month, but he wasn’t able to discuss his new gig because it did not become official until this week. Vigil joins a linebacking corps that has Anthony Barr and Eric Kendricks returning for injury and an opening in the starting lineup alongside them. Vigil started 37 games in his final three seasons with the Bengals, but only played 30 percent of the defensive snaps with the Chargers a year ago. Vigil: “It is hard once you go from a starting role to being more of a backup, but I got a lot of playing time last year, played a lot of different spots for the Chargers and had a good, productive year when I got my chances. We’ve got a new, fresh start here, and we’ll see what happens.” https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/04/07/nick-vigil-hoping-fresh-start-with-vikings-leads-to-bigger-role-on-defense/
RpMc
Another of the Michael Pierce offseason videos that just have him looking like a problem for offensive lines next year.

He's also typically the 1st DE off the board. So that's only according to you. Have you seen his burst and bend on the 3-cone? Workout numbers mean nothing when they don’t transfer to the field. Show me the burst during the game (he’s routinely the last one on the line to react to the ball being snapped). Show me the bend when the pads are on. Paye is a good run defender, and knows how to use his hands. But it’s not worth spending a 1st round pick on with other edge rushers like Turner, Basham, Odeyingbo, Perkins, etc. that have similar traits/tape and can be gotten later in the draft.

Again, you're in the minority with your opinion. So when you say "They can do better than Paye." it's lacking any objective weight when taking into account what so many analysts have generally said and come to some consensus to. Feel free to have your opinion though. McShay and NFL.com's Peter Schrager have him mocked to the Vikings currenty (see links). The bend is evident on the field -- just youtube his highlights. According to McShay he had the 2nd highest pressure rate in the FBS. I don't know what to tell you if you try to argue against that. NoDakViking
So I'm wondering who the ideal Patterson project is in this class. Round 3 or 4 player with traits that can turn into a high end player? I like Janarius Robinson as FSU coaching has been in the dumps for a couple years and also Dayo Odeyingbo as he likely drops from his Achilles injury.
