NoDakViking
https://www.foxsports.com/north/gallery/minnesota-vikings-2019-otas-questions-051719 First OTA session is on Tuesday. Any things you are all looking forward to seeing? I think the OL starters will be set but it will be interesting to see where the pieces fall behind them. The WR battle after th top 2 will be interesting as well

A return specialist or kick returner is a player on the special teams unit of an American football or Canadian football team who specializes in returning punts and kickoffs. There are few players who are exclusively return specialists; most also play another position such as wide receiver, defensive back, or running back.
vike daddy
The Vikings and Kyle Rudolph continue to talk about a new contract, and continue to get nowhere, but he’s at least going to continue to practice. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Rudolph is scheduled to be on the field with his teammates when the Vikings resume their OTAs today. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/05/21/kyle-rudolph-to-show-up-for-otas-today/

I do believe that we’ve reached the point where Rudolph has become under rated by the fan base. They seem to take for granted what he brings to the table, and think that his skill set is easily replaced.

He's not super dynamic like a Kelce or Gronk but he catches everything and is one of the best currently in the red zone. However, the combination of Rudolph and Smith Jr. In the red zone could be a nightmare for defenses. You could even run 3 TE sets with Morgan and Mattison as the goal line hammer. Or, have Rudolph online and Morgan and Irv coming offset out of the backfield.

Smith is a mismatch motion H back that is listed as a TE. Rudolph is a TE.

Especially considering the Kubiak influence and his history of using multiple TE sets over three-WR sets, plus the major drop-off in talent at WR from Thielen and Diggs to whoever. Just pulled up the 2015 Broncos as a reference point. This was Kubiak's first year back in Denver and it was the year Manning was really bad and got benched/injured, so it's not like there's a high water mark that's unattainable for this offense. Thomas and Sanders dominated the WR snaps (a combined 1,782 of 2,202, 80.9% of WR1 and WR2 snaps). Owen Daniels played 74.6% of snaps at TE. After that, it was much more of a committee approach. Next highest WR/TE was actually H-Back Virgil Green at 34.5%. Then it was WR Jordan Norwood (33.9%), TE Vernon Davis (26.4%), WR Andre Caldwell (24.1%), and WR Bennie Fowler (24.0%). I expect this season we'll see to a pretty similar set of splits. Diggs and Thielen will dominate at WR, Rudolph at TE, with a host of others basically getting 20-30% of season snaps each. Now yes I know Kubiak isn't the offensive coordinator, but it's hard to not see his imprints on this offense this year. Considering that plus the players currently on the roster, it's hard for me to think the offense will go differently than what I've outlined.

Even the other influencing coordinators that Stefanski has worked under have a history of using multiple tight ends.
swede700
Quote Minnesota Vikings Win Total: 9 Over (-110) / Under (-110) I'm sort of stunned how quickly everyone got off the Vikings bandwagon. Love for Minnesota disappeared faster than hungry guests at a Kirk Cousins cookout. I think this is the sneaky bounceback team though.
