swede700
Quote 32. S HARRISON SMITH, MINNESOTA VIKINGS Smith remains one of the best and most consistent safeties in the league, and while he isn’t coming off his best season, the same is true for most members of the Minnesota defense. Quote 33. LB ERIC KENDRICKS, MINNESOTA VIKINGS Kendricks has become arguably the best coverage linebacker in the NFL at a time when it has never been more difficult for linebackers to play in coverage. Over the last two seasons, Kendricks has not only forced more incompletions than any other linebacker, but he's also forced them at the highest rate in the league. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pff50-ranking-50-best-players-nfl-2021

swede700
Quote 7. Rick Spielman, Minnesota Vikings Best Move: Justin Jefferson Worst Move: Laquon Treadwell First Year on Job: 2012 Rick Spielman doesn’t get enough credit for the team he’s built. Sure, you can say they’ve overpaid for Kirk Cousins, but that move instantly made the team capable of contending in an NFC North that has been home to one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks (Aaron Rodgers). https://www.thedraftscout.com/p/nfl-gm-power-rankings-the-top-
wcblack34
It sounds like Twyman's injuries are all superficial. If that's the case, he will likely be a go for Training Camp. That's fantastic news for him. He's about as lucky as a guy who has been shot four times can be...
swede700
Quote 26. RB DALVIN COOK, MINNESOTA VIKINGS Cook continues to out-perform the blocking in front of him and just earned a 90.2 PFF rushing grade, the best of his NFL career. The Vikings back has averaged 3.1 yards after contact per carry over his NFL career, racking up 91 first down runs in 2020 alone. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pff50-ranking-50-best-players-nfl-2021
SemperFeist
Minnesota Vikings: I’m sure Rick Spielman’s summer away from the office will not be peaceful as his head coach, Mike Zimmer, hates playing bad defense. Last year, the Vikings had the worst defense of Zimmer’s career as a head coach. The Vikings improved on defense on all three levels with their offseason moves, but what has to worry Spielman is the Will linebacker position. Do they have a fast, athletic tackler on the roster? Is it Ryan Connelly, Troy Dye or someone else? Zimmer won’t rest or stop bothering Spielman until he feels comfortable that vital position in his defense covered. https://theathletic.com/2667552/2021/06/23/lombardi-what-each-nfc-team-will-be-worrying-about-this-summer/ If the Vikings biggest concern between now and training camp is a position that barely plays in Zimmer’s defense, I’d say Spielman has had a tremendous offseason. Cearbhall
Spielman has had a tremendous offseason if one only looks at what he did on the defensive side. No offseason that results in the offensive linemen the team currently has penciled in as starts should be considered a tremendous offseason overall. Spielman is once again going into a season with nothing but "hope" that the offensive line will be decent. As ever, one can find reason for hope but eventually one wants something more. Maybe Cleveland will look average this year. Maybe Bradbury will look average this year. Maybe Davis will look average this year. None of them have ever looked average in the league. That is a lot of maybe on the interior offensive line with guys like Mason Cole and Dakota Dozier the veteran fallback options. That is a lot of hope with nothing proven. That result on one of the more important position groups on the field is not something that I could think of as a tremendous offseason. To me, it resulted in a very, very flawed roster going into the season. But sure, he did some nice things within aside from the glaring flaw. I really, really like what he did on the defensive line.
