Man what a disaster.  I opened the game with an INT, had a fumble on the next drive and was basically out of the game from there.  My QB got a concussion in the 3rd Quarter and basically ended the day for me there.  I hope he’s back next week cause my backup QB is awful.  I couldn’t do anything on offense at all.

I get destroyed by running teams.  Vanderbilt ran for a crazy 363 yards against me.  I cannot stop the run with my current personnel, I don’t know why anyone even bothers passing against me.  I’ve found I can hang in there with heavy passing teams but these rushing teams are killing me.

Recruiting News

There was a really good OLB I was going after that I just lost to Miami.  He’s really the only recruit that I’ve heavily targeted that I missed out on this year.  I have a ton of recruits visiting next week.

Vanderbilt is always an interesting matchup because they run the ball A LOT out of pro-style, so if you can't run base packages with 3 linebackers, you're in trouble. They dominate the clock and limit possessions. If you go down 2+ possessions, they're a darkhorse team capable of upsetting anyone.

Ya add onto that my starting QB going out with a concussion and it was game over.

This was a good game to close out the season on, a win against a relatively easy opponent.  I was intentionally trying to throw the ball more to impress some visiting recruits.  I ended up throwing for 272 yards, but had 2 INTs and a fumble by QB Cobbs.  He’s a solid QB but I haven’t been blown away by him.  I’ll have to look hard at some of my incoming Freshman recruits and decide whether Cobbs will continue to be the starter.

Freshman HB E Miller broke 2,000 yards for the season in this game, finishing an incredible first season for my program.  MLB34 lead the team in tackles again and had a forced fumble in his final game with the team.

I’m hoping I get a bowl game.  8 wins should be enough, but not being in a conference could hurt me.

I've been invited to play #17 Georgia Tech in the AdvoCare V100 Bowl.  Whatever that is.

I can't stop the run, and I'm playing a ranked triple option team.  Oh dear.

I'll play this tomorrow night.

Better than my luck, I usually end up playing some random bottom feeder that squeeked out a 6-6 record or it’s a team I already beat down earlier in the year. That’s going to be a pretty tough game.
