Correct. He's not suspended this year. One more failed test will have him suspended for a year though. I would be worried about committing a long term deal to him because of his health issues as well. He battled back to get on the field but you gave him quite a bit of money! Much more than I would have, especially being a backup tackle.
Trentwannabe
Love what you have done @NickChowaniec! Beane should be worried that you're gunning for his job. I am pro trading up for Mayfield (obviously) especially with having two 3rds again and now three 5ths.

Read a few links that talked him up as well as another giants fan mentioned him in the war room and took it at face value. Giants line was so bad a last year that even if he's suspended sitting on his sofa next year, its better than what we currently had...haha. Same for LB Christian Jones who I was looking to provide good depth. Won a bid on Virgil Green, TE. 4 years, 14.25 mil deal. Good depth, and with Clay always hurt he could prove valuable. The Giants gave Seantrel Henderson a 5 year, 29 million dollar deal So who is available in free agency that we can use some of this money on? Kmart128
Some names that stick out to me Anthony Hictchens, Jerik McKinnon, Orleans Darkwa, Albert Wilson, Allen Hurns, David Amerson, Case Keenum, Davon House, Jeremy Lane, Mark Herzlich, Akeem Ayers, Courtney Upshaw, Lamarr Houston. We have 45 million left so I say I think we should put in offers for Hitchens, Hurns, Darkwa and Lane. We should be able to get all 4 of those players and still have a ton of cap room. Nick
Only dilemma is the contracts require a specific APY (average per year offer) amount. It goes down with each round of FA. So while some of those names are definitely on my list also, the dollar amount scares me for some. Here are the APYs for the guys you mentioned, let me know what you think. Anthony Hitchens - 6.5 mil APY Jerick McKinnon - 6.0 mil APY Orleans Darkwa - 900k APY Albert Wilson - 7.8 mil APY Allen Hurns - 9.8 mil APY Case Keenum - 15.9 mil APY Davon House - 2.4 mil APY Jeremy Lane - 6.3 mil APY Mark Herzlich - 915k APY Akeem Ayers - 1.5 mil APY Courtney Upshaw - 995k APY Lamarr Houston - 915k APY @marshawn lynch

He is better than McKinnon and 5 million a year cheaper. I'd offer Darkwa about 4 a year. Between House and Lane might as well try for House instead. Similar player but a lot cheaper. Houston at that price is a no brainer for me. Hitchens is right where I figured he would be. Hurns is a bit pricey. But with Darkwa, House and Houston coming so cheap I wouldn't mind overspending a bit. Especially with all the cap room we have. The more free agents we sign the better I feel about trading draft picks to move up into the top 10 for a QB. Gotta fill some spots so we don't need the draft picks to fill em. I think that the problem you are going to have is that Mayfield is the FF darling this year. I don't think that he makes it to the 8-10 range. I think in that range, you're probably looking at Josh Allen, whom everyone on FF hates (except for me apparently lol).

Agree with Darkwa v McKinnon. Darkwa is a bit underappreciated. I'd offer him before I offered McKinnon (I said in my own war room thread that the latter is just too over priced at this point for what he does). Hitchens I almost bid on last round, but thought in the end he was still a tad over priced. Agree that now at 6.5, he's right around what I figure he will get in real life. Yibbyl
From your list, here's who I'd sniff around... MLB Demario Davis MLB Korey Toomer SLB Anthony Hitchens UT Jay Bromley SLB Devon Kennard NT David Parry S Nate Ebner TE James Hanna Ebner for sure got injured last year, can't remember if any others were. Hanna, I believe, has been under utilized and could be a decent 2nd. I didn't look over the CB's or WR's...I'm tired. Wanted OL help, but, wow...nothing I feel strongly might be upgrades to start. These might help for depth: C Spencer Long RT Ulrick John C Travis Swanson RG/C Zac Kerin
