Kirk is leaving i think we all know that. The Redskins messed up the situation of course. a lot of fans wanted kirk gone so i guess you got what you wanted. but in terms of winning long term is the gamble worth it? DO YOU TRUST IN BRUCE ALLEN TO DRAFT A FRANCHISE QB BETTER THEN KIRK? please explain in the comments below....

It comes down to who Gruden and Doug Williams feels is the guy . Both former qbs and im sure by the end of it will be gruden  call.

With mayfield rumor to go top 5, that means Rosen/Allen/Darnold drop to us .

kirk cousins would likely go to the jets or broncos in front of us .

These guys have more upside than Kirk . Mayfield -Allen-Darnold- and Rosen all can be probowl guys .

gruden isn't a bad headcoach I'm just upset we didn't sign Phillips as the DC.

But he's done well progressing two qbs when he was with Dalton and Cousins who got much better i Jay system .

Allen will regardless draft a good prospect qb . It's up to the skins to see if that individual can fit our scheme .

I'm hoping Kirk leaving results in the end of Bruce Allen. I consider Kirk collateral damage that sadly had to happen in order to finally purge the franchise of Bruce.

Rather see Williams as the full time GM than Allen .

skins could of gotten Genttleman or Dorsey . Instead we ignored them and did nothing about it .

Bruce Allen has been shifted toward football operations with Schaffer taking a larger role in the business operations.
If the team does not succeed this season, it can be placed solely in Allen's hands without reference to how 'spread-thin' he is currently.

It's very much worth it, imo!

An excellent statistical QB, when you look at the spreadsheet. I'm talking HOF numbers. A very smart QB with great work ethic. Mr Roboto(Styx song) should be his nickname. Studies every team....every player....everything you can imagine about football. Probably as much as P. Manning himself.

so much robotic like, that he wont change NOTHING about what he knows and understands.

Audible? Forget it!

Improvise during a play, when it breaks down? Forget it!

Show urgency, when you are losing? Forget it!

Realize the importance of not turning the ball over in crucial situations? Forget it!

Realize the importance of not hamstringing a team with a massive contract, so they can build around you? Forget it!

Realize the importance of your red zone opportunities & to score as much as possible & to NOT turn the ball over there? Forget it!

Realize that winning, playoff opportunities & appearances are more important than stats? Forget it!

Oh wait....thats not for Cousins, that's for you guys.

Give me winner, not a compiler!

Yes, moving on will be well worth it.

Leopards don't change their spots.

Give me someone who can adapt, to the situation.

Not Mr. Roboto.

All of this sounds great until you remember he's the best QB the team has had in 25 years.

I believe these are all facts. He’s the best QB we’ve had in a while but that’s not saying much; especially when he’s going to handicap the team by wanting a mega contract. Plus he ultimately doesn’t want to be here so forget him.

Wait, what?

1. Cousins audulibled a lot, arguably sometimes he shouldn’t have audibled in the redzone like in 2016 when he audibled to throw the fades against the Cowboys, but if you think Cousins never audibled you’d be wrong.

2. It’s correct that sometimes Kirk doesn’t extend plays but he did do a far better job of that this season than in years past. He escaped the pocket to make plays several times if he got pressured early or he would take off and run for first downs. To most people who watched every play this year they saw this as a development of Kirk Cousins the qb and I expect him to make more off scheduled plays next year, but keep in mind the main reason Kirk doesn’t make a lot of “off scheduled plays” is because unlike our qb in 2012 & 13, Kirk makes the plays on Schedule and within the timing of the passing offense.

As for the rest, I’ll just say what I said in other threads. There have been a handful of times in the last 3 years or 49 games where Kirk has made a mistake which has cost us the game, it happens, he’s human after all, but for every poor int or fumble he may have had there’s 10 times as many big plays he’s made for the Redskins offense.

I’d love to see a tally of how many times Kirk Cousins blew an assignment in the last few minutes of a game vs how many times the defense blew an assignment or someone else on offense in the last few mineute of game. I know it’d be overwhelming that our defense cost us way more games than Kirk did the last 3 seasons.

i just want this cousins situation settled with . If he's back he is back idc any more about the money. I'm tired of hearing rumors he's leaving and how we should feel bad for him cus he isn't making over 90 mil.
