Do you ever see Alex Smith beating anyone in the playoffs?

To be fair to Alex Smith, he is 2-5 in the playoffs (beat the Saints while with the 49ers in 2011 (36-32) and beat the Texans while with the Chiefs in 2015 (30-0)). Of course, that was the 9-7 Texans who won the AFC South because no one else wanted it.

Smith isn't great but come on

dude did his job against the Titans than Kelce left . Than two years ago the Chiefs and colts game was a total collapse .

Way more so than Alex Smith is.

That dink and dunk stuff about smith is bogus . He's a west coast guy he isn't a Big Ben type he's a west coast dude .

He didn't have Charles for 3 years and hunt was his only RB for a long time .

he throws short passes but I will say this . The chiefs did have one of the best YAC wideouts if im not mistaken. Playing against them on mnf the commenters said something to that.

I can't believe we're going to have to watch him check down for the next three years and the worst part is he'll still be here if Bruce and Jay get fired after we inevitably miss the playoffs again. And don't let Jay slide on this. He clearly had a hand in this trade.

But he couldn't get the win when it counted. I mean, that is the criteria we applied to Cousins, no? It didn't matter the defense collapsed, it was Kirk's fault. So how was the Chiefs bombing out not Smith's?

Number of years Alex Smith has been in the league: 12
Number of years Alex Smith has averaged more than 7.5 yards per attempt: 2
Number of years Alex Smith has averaged more than 7.0 yards per attempt: 6

Number of years Kirk Cousins has been in the league: 6
Number of years Kirk Cousins has averaged more than 7.5 yards per attempt: 5

And if we're comparing running backs, when Alex Smith (in his best career year) had Kareem Hunt, who did Kirk Cousins have?

Dear god it went from 4 years to 5 and from $94 mil to $111.

Because he was under contract for 2018. The 4 year piece he negotiated was an extension.
