Then somehow fell backwards into a franchise QB in the 4th round, lowball insulted him with a ridiculous offer when we finally figured out he could play, then spent the next few years holding press conferences calling him Kurt. We had the chance to do it, but Brucey and Gruden are too deep in their contracts and too insecure with their job status to tank the season. But without Smiths play on the field, we rush an unproven onto the field. Now whether your FO is smart enough to realize they need to develop a QB under him, no idea.
