Just visiting a couple buddies so we'll probably head back to the old neighborhood up in Buena Park/Lakeview area. Been wanting to get back to Half Acre too, best brewery in Chicago imo.

Neither the Cubs or White Sox are in town unfortunately otherwise probably would've tried to hit up a game.

I was in Rochester a few years ago. I enjoyed MN...but boy is it nice to not have to shovel and snow blow. I also like seeing the sun in winter.

I like the snow, but if I owned a place and had to worry about that I may not enjoy it quite as much.

It's also fairly sunny in the winter time here actually.

Summers are amazing in MN (aside from not beach). Didn’t love being landlocked. Twin Cities is a nice place...though I’m biased to Rochester. Rochester is pretty much the closest thing to a utopian society that I’ve ever seen.

Yeah, I mean there's tons of lakes so plenty of beaches, but I get it's not the same as an ocean.

I haven't really checked out Rochester much so don't have much of an opinion tbh.

Nobody goes to Rochester for fun. They go there to live because of world class health care, excellent schools, almost non-existent crime, and ENOUGH stuff to do...and there are enough stuff to do within a 1:30 hour drive to fill the gaps. It's pretty much a city filled with medical professionals and descendants of farmers.

Every once in a while I’ll run into one. Almost always wearing a jags hoodie so when I walk past them they let me know. I did have a TSA agent tell me there is a Jags bar. Can’t remember which one it was though and that was just after the 2019 season so I’m not sure it’s around anymore. Haha

Lol. I’ve been in the press box once before. Didn’t enjoy the fan experience a ton. But the refreshments and AC were pretty awesome. That game will be a scorcher.

lol.  Almost missed this, after prodding you to do it.  Been distracted with other stuff and haven't really been around and had some time to sit down and put a thing together since the draft.  But i'm in now.  Good times were had.  Felt like a relatively straightforward year actually.  Weren't too many positions that were really challenging to find something to be happy enough with, or rounds thin on talent with lots of picks to make.

Sadly, looks like another lackluster turnout.  Idk why.  More people should play imo.  It's good.

 

I guess i actually did miss it last year.  I seem to remember putting something together, but i guess i must not have ever actually finished and posted it.  All i could find was a notepad doc full of jumbled idea scribbles and some random players entitled "2020FluxDraftGameNotes".  🙃  Sad.

Anyway.  More people play.

Outstanding!  Love a good long winded post.  Been known to write one or two myself, from time to time.

Though lately, i've quit drinking and somewhat counterintuitively, it seems like i now have so much less time in the day.  Less time to read or write big long posts, or post at all apparently.  I thought it was supposed to be the opposite.  I was deceived.

Hah.  Neat.  Looking forward to some of these side effects whenever i get my second dose probably uh...sometime before Fall officially begins i guess.
