It’s Fournette.

What the hell

Super Bowl Lenny. Put respect on his name. Those throwback jerseys for him blowing up. Gotta look like you got in on the ground floor with the superstar. Real OG fan, from back when he was a nobody.

Sounds like the Bills threat to move to Austin might not just be an attempt at posturing to get a new stadium, but might be the end result of them realizing that a new stadium isn't coming in or around Buffalo, and them seriously looking for a new home city.

I’m only about 10-15 minutes into the new Bold Take Pod and Dillas dropping some interesting nuggets behind the scenes.

Apparently the offensive coaching staff met for over 3 hours either yesterday or today to go over the game. In comparison, the defensive staff’s took a little over 30 minutes (and that’s the more usual time for something like this). Sounds like Urban is indeed a tad frustrated with the offense schematically.

Tickets for game at Houston have been purchased. First row, right behind the Jaguars bench. You all should be able to see me on the tv.

Gonna get Trevor to give me a hug!

Mental note: pwny is the guy being escorted out of the stadium after attempting to commit battery on the chosen one

The defense hasn’t exactly looked elite in these first games either lol

Darrell Bevell was the OC in Minnesota for a few years and what is interesting, about all I really remember about him was that his play calling was kind of uninspiring and predictable.  I was a little worried about this when he was announced as the OC for us this year, but just hoped for the best because he did have success in Seattle.

I've been thinking about this for a while, and have come to the conclusion that Bevell was chosen as much for his ability to be a mentor to Urban as a new NFL head coach as for his ability to mentor Trevor as an NFL QB.

Right now, I'm hoping he can be successful in both roles, but if his offense turns out to be a little too much behind the times, I'm thinking that maybe we will just have to deal with the fact that he helped Urban this season, and maybe next season Urban will be in a position where he feels confident enough to bring in a younger OC with some fresher ideas.  We all knew this rebuild wasn't going to happen overnight.  Maybe this is one aspect of it where we will just have to be patient and hope he doesn't hold Trevor back too much or create any bad habits.

Have fun at the game.  Being there for Trevor's first real start will be something you can tell your grandchildren about.  :)

No but I don’t think anyone’s expecting a great unit. Just way too young at key positions and we don’t have any legit pass rushers (we all hope Allen is but he surely hasn’t proven that yet).

I honestly feel better about that unit through these past two games than I did during the summer months tbh. That front is thick and even if we haven’t played a legit RB Im not seeing the lanes those guys are supposed to be running through. If we can be even middle of the pack (which I think that front 7 is definitely capable of) in run defense that will do wonders for pass D/manufacturing pressure that we know Cullen will be dialing up.

To be fair, a lot of the defense problems are execution issues. Gotta be with the players to work on that. The offense is partially execution, particularly with the run game being non-existent, but the play calling has been horrendous even for preseason.
