Got an interesting trade offer, I'd like some opinions on:

Jets offered WR Robbie Anderson for DE Vinny Curry

Pros: 1) get a 24 year old WR who showed last year he can make some big plays  2) avoid over paying for that 2nd outside WR spot that we will need to fill 3) There is a cap gain of about $5 million for the swap  4) fill one of my biggest FA needs

Cons: 1) Getting no pick in return for one of my best assets to try and recoup the fact that the Eagles have no day 2 picks  2) Reports of Anderson being immature (which is probably why he is getting traded) 3) already has an arrest this offseason which might lead to a game or two (or maybe more of suspension.)

Before the arrest that's a no brainer. I'd probably still do it but I can see the hesitation.

I agree with this. But I think we have to some degree built a culture that cultivates better individuals from moral standpoints, if that's how you want to word it?

Two things to note, he IS a Restricted free agent after 2018. He also is a local kid going to Temple university.

A recap about how FA works in this mock

1) You cannot resign players prior to FA.

2) Every player is assigned a APY, an Average Per Year Salary, you have to meet if you want to sign the player.

3) FA is a blind bidding process in rounds where you can offer any player a contract in any round but you only get 4 bids in a round (3 UFA bids and 1 resign bid)

4) A players APY goes down every round he is not offered a contract.

After i shed salary and do some restructures i project having around 29 million in space. My major goal is to resign Bradham. But his APY is almost 11 million after is boss season.

Im thinking about Transistion Tagging him for 13 million and then extending him from there and lowering the cap hit. That way he avoids hitting the open market where teams have an obnoxious amount of cap space.

Then the first 3 or 4 rounds of FA im going to work on getting deals on depth players who have really low APY who teams probably wont be targeting. Then try and get some good deals on better players as their APY's go down and other teams blow their wads in the first few rounds.

I think that's a no brainer. A solid WR who is also a deep threat for an overpaid run stopping DE when you have Barnett and Long on cheap deals to fill the void.
