I don't know what Saban did to him, but it's beautiful.

EDIT: By the way, Bama and Miami scheduled those cupcake FSU teams. Only Wisconsin had the stones to go beat FAU.

Most of the time, Saban breaks assistants to become really strict like him. And in the case of Lane, he broke him to the point that Lane just became peak Lane.

over in the FCS, North Dakota is moving its Olympic sports out of the Big Sky next year into the Summit League, and football will move into the MVFC in 2020

the idea replacement school for the Fighting Hawks IMO is Colorado State-Pueblo, who can join the Big Sky in 2019 so that their football team will be ready to join in 2020

since restarting football in 2008, CSUP has quickly ascended to the ranks of the top DII football programs in the nation, they even won the national title a few years back

The Big Sky can adopt a divisional format for football:

North:
Eastern Washington
Idaho
Idaho State
Montana
Montana State
Northern Colorado
Portland State

South:
UC Davis
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
Colorado State-Pueblo
Northern Arizona
Sacramento State
Southern Utah
Weber State

Protected crossovers:
CSUP-Northern Colorado
Eastern Washington-UC Davis
Idaho-Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
Idaho State-Weber State
Montana-Northern Arizona
Montana State-Southern Utah
Portland State-Sacramento State

This could be altered if the MWC needs Montana and Montana State to replace any defectors

As it stands now, Fox is slated to air the Apple Cup opposite ND-Stanford on ABC Saturday night. If Fox loses the ratings battle in this timeslot, then they will probably demand UM-OSU be played at night next year. We live in a world where many traditions are falling by the wayside. A lot of rivalries have ended in recent years due to realignment for instance. And for many years ND was not permitted by NBC to play home games at night - but that changed in 2011 too. And UM-OSU isn't even on ABC anymore, it's on Fox.

Weren't they under sanctions?

We were from 2013 up until this last recruiting cycle. But they weren't that bad(4 scholarships taken away a year). Believe it or not, Trumaine Johnson was the reason they started investigating us. He and another player threw a party, cops showed up, and Johnson decided to get in his face and shove him. He was tased and arrested. Then a booster paid his bail and paid for a big money lawyer. Then they found said booster was dooling out money to tons of players...
