Total Control Mock Draft.

I would not trade Walker away... Never say never, right?  But it would have to be a huge offer for me to part ways with him.  Not only is he still producing at an extremely high level... he plays an important leadership role.  If anything, I'd be looking to extend him a couple more years...

TRADES

Titans trade DeMarco Murray + R4/127 to the Buccaneers for Kendall Beckwith + R6/183

Titans trade Kevin Dodd to the Giants for R5/141

Titans trade Tajae Sharpe to the Redskins for Arie Kouandjio

Here's what we've done so far, probably paid over the odds on some of the free agents but that's the way it goes.

Only real hole I see atm is RG, which I'm working on.

Kouandjio could possibly start but I would like to add a vet there somehow.

Lee would be a great addition imo.

Adds speed and can play slot or outside which gives us the ability to swap him and Matthews around and play the matchups a bit.

Davis, Matthews, Lee, Walker is a nice group for Marcus to work with.

Still have the draft and a decent set of picks in it.

1/25

2/57

3/89

5/141

5/164

6/183

6/202

7/243

It won't be super popular, but I wouldn't be upset with Brandon Weeden being our backup this coming season. I think he's about 50x better than Cassel at this point and he's already familiar with the team.

As for the other options, the best QB's on that list are the former Vikings duo, but I'll ignore them for long term backup solutions because don't see that happening. Savage, Moore, or Gabbert would probably be my top 3 personally.

How about E.J Manuel?

Similar skill set as M.M.

True, I understand the logic behind finding a backup you don't have to change your scheme for too much. It's never been an overly important thing from my view simply because there will still be offensive adjustments regardless if/when your starter goes down and I'd rather have the best possible QB out there instead of an inferior one who can run a little bit.

That being said, while I personally slightly prefer a few other guys, I wouldn't hate EJ Manuel. He looked competent last season in his limited time and it's still a big time upgrade on the position from last season.

It'd be awesome if we could get Bortles at near minimum... Lol...

I think Gabbert, Manuel, G Smith, and Daniels are all clear upgrades for our backup role. Moore also intrigues me. Had a really good stretch last year when Tannehill went down, thought he would a been a better fit down there last season instead of Cutler. He's a little older though, do it might be a Cassell-type situation where as soon as 1 year later, he would need to be replaced.

Been offered Justin Houston from K.C.

1st Round straight up.

2nd round + LeShaun Sims + 6th

That's the cost, thoughts?

I like Justin Houston, but that just seems like a real high price to pay. Our outside pass rushers aren't necessarily bad (we could definitely use a third PR, but Morgan and Orakpo are a solid pair of OLBs) and giving up a first for a guy on a big contract that's already 29 and hasn't hit double-digit sacks in any of the last three seasons just seems steep.

I'm inclined to agree on this.

I think Attachou has the potential to eventually replace Orakpo.

He's been stuck behind some pretty good pass rush in L.A.

E.J Manuel will back up M.M for the next 3 yrs on a cheap deal.

Matt Cassel has been cut.

Also bid on LB Kevin Pierre Louis but the Chiefs out bid me.

I think we're pretty much set now going into the draft.

Current roster is on page 1.

So who do you like for our 1st round pick based on what we've done in F.A?

Top CB, OLB, RB, or 5-Tech available.
