scar988
78 is a retired # for the Falcons due to Mike Kenn. Other than that, I don't see Wynn being worth the #26 pick, but the Falcons might.
MWil23
So the Browns overdraft Mayfield at 1, overdraft an OT, a position that they don't even need, even if JT retires, and 3 other QB's go before Sam Darnold? No chance.

As for Mayfield, I hear the Browns love him, but even if they don't, face it, you don't know one way or the other any better than I do. And as far as Darnold goes, I think he could easily go after those other guys. They all have strengths and flaws, and Darnold's flaws are as big as any. MOSteelers56
There would be riots in Pittsburgh. Ben has stated he will play next year and is thinking he'll play another 3 years. QB is not a draftable need, let alone a 1st round need. Stay put and draft Evans, no point in overthinking this. The Steelers need help in a big way on the defensive side, we're pretty close to winning it all and drafting a QB who won't play until his 4th year seems pretty bad. Having said that, I do really like Lamar Jackson.
The Gnat
Not a huge fan of that for the Vikings. Price isn't bad, but I can't see the Vikings passing on Vea. Then Offensive line depth in round two.

I hear you, this would be a risky move for the Steelers to be sure, but at the same time it seems to me like if any franchise would be proactive about moving on from a QB who's clearly declining, it would be the Steelers. Ben can say he wants to play 4 more years all he wants, but he isn't Tom Brady. If I were the Steelers I wouldn't just sign on for 4 more years of the level he's at right now without trying to find a backup plan.
jebrick
I have to ask why would the Steelers trade up to get a QB with 3 on the roster with long term contracts? it is just plan stupid.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but anyway, I really feel like the Browns will go against their pattern of recent years, just decide on the QB they like and draft him #1. Like I said, they've all got their strengths and weaknesses.

Because one is on the downside of his career, one is a career backup and one I've never heard of.
