swede700
Quote Vikings Legend Jared Allen no longer weathers the Minnesota winters, but he’s been plenty active on the ice nonetheless. Allen, who officially retired from the gridiron in 2016, recently has gotten serious about the sport of curling and is gaining quite the following. Allen took to the ice again this week, joining Team Persinger/Ruohonen as an alternate for the 2019 USA Curling National Championships in Kalamazoo, Michigan. https://www.vikings.com/news/jared-allen-makes-national-championship-debut-in-curling
Heimdallr
It is cool that Jared is promoting curling. Hopefully he sticks with it.
Uncle Buck
Curling is the perfect sport for Jared. When he makes a big play like he did in the NFL, he will already be down in the proper position.

swede700
The original #22... Quote Happy Birthday to Pro Football Hall of Famer Paul Krause https://www.vikings.com/photos/happy-birthday-to-pro-football-hall-of-famer-paul-krause#18ab3692-cb1c-47db-89e7-a74ad62e5b12
vike daddy
Hall of Famer Paul Krause has a place in the record books that may be permanent. Krause, now 77, has 81 career interceptions. He’s held the record for 40 years. The closest contender since then has been Hall of Famer Rod Woodson, who finished his career with 71. The current active leader is Reggie Nelson, who is tied for 91st on the all-time list with 38. The only other active player in the all-time top 250 is Richard Sherman with 32. So Krause’s record may never be broken. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/02/19/which-nfl-records-will-never-be-broken/
vike daddy
The Jaguars signed kicker Josh Lambo to a four-year extension last week, a deal that included $6.5 million guaranteed. With Lambo signed long term, the Jaguars don’t need another kicker. Thus, Jacksonville cut Kai Forbath, the team announced Tuesday. Forbath, 31, appeared in three games for the Jaguars in 2018 when Lambo was injured. He converted 4 of 5 field goals and all three extra point attempts. In seven seasons, Forbath has played for four teams. He has made 85.7 percent of his career field goal attempts and 94 percent of his extra points. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/02/19/jaguars-cut-kai-forbath/
SteelKing728
With the NFL running offended schemes that help QBs tremendously, and the fact that the NFL caters to the offensive side of the ball, I took think there is a good chance Paul Krause holds that record permanently. There's less than 1/2 of 1% that it gets broken. I'll never say never, but that's one that likely will stand the test of time.
swede700
There's an absolutely fantastic story about Denny in the Athletic, if you get the opportunity and have a subscription. I'm certainly not going to go into all the details since it's a paid site, but I will tell you that it does portray the positive aspects of Denny and especially his impact on Robert Griffith and Andre Patterson. vike daddy
The Rams had to pick up their option on C John Sullivan’s contract by Monday and Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the team opted not to do so. Sullivan could reach agreement with the Rams on a different deal, but is in line to become an unrestricted free agent on March 13 if that doesn’t happen. Sullivan was set to have a $6.25 million cap number in 2019. The Rams will be left with $1 million of that charge on their cap. Sullivan started every meaningful game for the Rams over the last two seasons. At 33, he’s getting close to the end of his career but he remained a capable player in Los Angeles and will likely see a fair amount of interest in his services on the open market. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/03/05/rams-dont-pick-up-john-sullivans-option/
