y*so*blu
Speaking of retired Vikings, I hope Fran Tarkenton enjoyed the show today. It's always adds something extra when we play well with Vikings legends watching.

If not for the injury...and for going through Hardees' drive-thrus. I think he deserves Ring of Honor cred, despite some of the issues they had trying to bring him back from the USFL. He was one of the 50 greatest Vikings of the first 50 years, after all. Edited December 4, 2017 by disaacs
vike daddy
The Vikings got some extra motivation before Sunday’s game from hall of fame quarterback Fran Tarkenton. Tarkenton, who lives in Atlanta, addressed the Vikings at the team hotel Saturday night, and was on hand for Minnesota’s 14-9 victory over the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Tarkenton, who played for Minnesota from 1961-66 and 1972-78, brought a prop to the meeting, the game ball he received from the first time the expansion Vikings took the field. In the Sept. 17, 1961 opener, the rookie out of the University of Georgia came off the bench to throw four touchdown passes as Minnesota stunned Chicago 37-13. Greg Coleman: “He talked about the importance of team. He didn’t start that game, but as part of the team, you never know when your number is going to be called. And when his number was called, he came in and threw four touchdown passes. He talked about the importance of sticking together and nobody cares who gets the credit as long as you win.” http://www.twincities.com/2017/12/03/hall-of-famer-fran-tarkenton-gives-pep-talk-to-vikings-shows-off-1961-game-ball/
swede700
It's been a long time since I've heard this name... Quote Knights offensive coordinator Troy Walters, named acting head coach after Frost's departure Saturday to Nebraska, interviewed for the job. It's unclear whether Frost or Walters will coach UCF against Auburn in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21677185/ucf-knights-hire-josh-heupel-new-coach-randy-shannon-defensive-coordinator

vike daddy
Via the Seattle Times, Warren Moon has been sued for sexual harassment by Wendy Haskell. The 32-year-old plaintiff became Moon’s executive assistant in July, and she traveled with him regularly for speaking engagements, charity events, and personal appearances, per the report. The lawsuit claims that Moon “committed sexual battery by grabbing the woman’s crotch during a trip to Seattle this year,” and that Moon pulled off “the woman’s bathing suit after slipping a drug into her drink during a separate trip to Mexico in October.” Moon, according to the report, was sued for sexual harassment more than 20 years ago, while playing for the Vikings. A team cheerleader claimed that he offered her cash for sex; the case was settled within days of its filing. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/12/06/warren-moon-is-sued-for-sexual-harassment/ loved Moon as a player, never cared for him as a man.
