Happy Birthday to the great Randall Cunningham who turned 60 today! He was with the Vikings for three seasons including 1998 (Moss’s Rookie season) where he put together one of the greatest seasons for a QB in team history going 13-1 with 34 TDs and 3,704 yards, while starting only 14 games. He finished second in voting for MVP and OPOY that season behind only Terrell Davis who managed over 2,000 yards rushing for the Broncos.

So he's 369 days older than me? I would have guessed slightly younger....

Moss was obviously the better receiver, but Cris Carter is still my favorite. Carter and Harrison Smith are 1/1A for me.

What Moss did on the downfield passes Carter did for the sidelines.  He was the master.

John Randle will probably always be my favorite player of that era, and probably of all-time (which is why when we had those jerseys with numbers as our avatars it was the #93...if you remember that), but Cris is certainly up there on the list.

JJ is trending up on that list though...

I was never a big Joey Browner guy, although I've always felt he was underrated...but I guess that happens when you play in the same era as Ronnie Lott.  From that era, while I certainly enjoyed the "my arms are bigger than your guns" Keith Millard (who I believe was Uncle Buck's guy before he defected to being a Jaguars fan, but I could be wrong) , Anthony Carter was my guy.

Started watching in the mid 90s.

Loved watching Peterson, but honestly, all the off the field stuff makes it hard for me to have him on a list of favorite players. No doubt was he fun to watch.

For me:

1. Moss

2. Carter

3. Randle

4. Allen

#5 is hard.

Smith and Jefferson are right there, both are incredibly fun to watch. Feel like Randall McDaniel and Steve Hutchinson don’t get enough love, Matt Birk too. But hard to put an OL on a list like this. Throw Jim Kleinsasser in there too. Not flashy but he was a devastating blocker. Also enjoyed Chris Walsh on Special Teams.
