swede700
Quote For the second time this year, the Saints have signed a former member of the Vikings backfield. It’s safe to say that the addition of fullback Zach Line is going to draw less attention than the Adrian Peterson signing, however. Line’s agent Mike McCartney broke the news of his addition via Twitter on Wednesday. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/08/23/saints-add-fb-zach-line/

I can't even imagine that Line has much of a shot to make the team at this late of a date. It's probably just to shed some light on blocking for Adrian. vike daddy
Audie Cole, a linebacker the Jaguars signed in free agency in March, was released today. The Jaguars paid him a $100,000 signing bonus that he’ll get to keep, but they don’t owe him any more money beyond that. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/08/26/jaguars-cut-audie-cole-five-months-after-signing-him/
vikingsrule
Wonder what happened with Cole in Jax. Wouldn't mind having him back in MN, thought he was decent.
vike daddy
it should be mentioned that former Viking CB Ed Sharockman died earlier this week. Shrock was one of the original Vikings on the 1961 team and played during our glory days in the 70's. he was very steady and dependable, and played a lot of games as a Viking. he, and 49 others, have the distinction of being voted in to the 50 Greatest Vikings club for our 50th anniversary as a team. That's too bad. I really knew nothing about him until the 50 Greatest Vikings award.

Yes, because he still doesn't have a job, and he actually loses $500K for this year by not making the team. Plus, had he likely waited a few days in the offseason, the Vikings probably would have re-signed him for a similar deal and wouldn't have had any competition. So yes, he lost. Playing time and postseason honors with the new team is factored into the equation, so no, he's not a factor.
