Dome Posted February 4, 2018 Author Share Posted February 4, 2018 Rules Each day vote for who you want to have lynched that night. Votes for a lynch must be bolded to count. Votes must be in before nightfall. Daily voting is the only requirement to play. If you fail to vote and we have a replacement that wants to play, you'll be replaced that night. If you fail to vote twice you will be killed. These do not have to be consecutive nights. Night Time will begin when I call night in the thread. I will call it as close to the scheduled time as possible. No Talking at night. There will be a grace period for people to finish typing whatever they were working on when I call Night Time. I reserve the right to punish players for posting after night has been called. If there is a tie when Night Time starts, there will be a 10 minute overtime. Ties are a null result. Everyone will have 10 minutes to change their vote one time, if they wish. A tie after overtime will result in tie breaking procedures. You may make one post after your death. Nothing game related please. Night moves must be sent via your ROLE PM within 20 minutes of nightfall. You may send in night moves early and change your moves as often as you want, up until the night moves deadline. Built during World War One to hold enemy POWs, the prison was renovated in the late 20’s to be more suitable for rehabilitating the Nations most troubled youth. Renovations included repainting the sign to match the new title and replacing the beds with smaller ones. In the late 1930s BSYCF was investigated after a string of runaway children from the facility. From 1931-1937, 9 children vanished from the island. After an investigation and dozens of interviews with the staff and their captives the facility was closed indefinitely. No charges were filed on none of the children were located. One of the worst things the investigation uncovered was the use of a rock formation off the island as a location for solitary confinement. The kids cleverly referred to this rock formation as “The Rock”. Rumors and legends about The Rock were commonplace among the children on the island, many of them allege that children sent to The Rock for punishment were never seen again. The Facility Director moved to Brazil after the investigation and the nurses named in the FBI report were all put into witness protection for their cooperation with the investigation. The children were sent back to their families and within a couple weeks nobody was talking about Blackshore any more. Life went on and the facility remained vacant for over 25 years. The Hippie Movement of the early 60’s brought Blackshore back into the public eye. The youth in this country were out of control and the big men in offices needed to do something about it. Congress agreed to reopen the prison turned kid prison as a male-only facility. Mostly these were boys that liked to smoke weed, though some of them were known to steal candy or cigarettes as well. The Blackshore Institute for Young Men was opened on September 1st, 1966. ------ 1968 - Domey walked along the shoreline, clumsily kicking rocks and shells back into the surf with each step. He saw a small emerald colored bottle sticking out of the sand and stopped walking. He turned around and looked up at the guard tower, empty. He picked up the bottle, it was full of water but he could see a curled up piece of paper inside. He checked the guard tower again before dumping the water out of the botte and pulling the paper from the neck. The blue ink was smeared. The Oceans Elixir, fit for peasants and Kings I am your Savior, sweet death I do bring Domey dropped the bottle and it shattered on a rock. He looked back up and the empty guard tower and put the note into his pocket. He climbed back up the rocks onto the grass and headed for the dorms. ------ All night long Domey read and reread the note. He debated showing the others but he didn’t think they’d believe him anyways. Finally he worked up the courage and ripped the not to pieces before tossing the bits out the dorms 2nd story window. Probably just another kids prank anyways. Domey finally fell asleep in the wee hours of the morning. The rustling of a few other boys woke Domey up just a few hours into his sleep, light crept through the window and he knew the nurses would be in to wake the boys up soon. He fluffed his pillow and felt something hard underneath it, he reached for it and found a small black vial with a note attached. It read: Quote Drink my child, so black and so brined This Ocean’s Elixir for visions divined Join us my child, for we fight the RedWe’re not here to end you, but save you instead Domey tucked the vial into his pajamas and hurried to the bathroom. He dumped the liquid down the drain and stashed the bottle behind the toilet. He hurried back to the dorm and got dressed for breakfast. ------ All day long those words stuck with Domey. Join us. Join us. Join us. He couldn’t shake it. The day was just a blur. He thought about visiting the Therapist to talk about what he’d found, but decided against it. They were always good to the kids, but had to report anything unusual to the Nurses. He thought about asking one of the Guards if they knew about any kids that had been hiding bottles or writing supplies, but didn’t want to get anyone into trouble. After dinner he went back down to the beach. He did his usual kicking of rocks and shells. He walked past where he’d found the bottle, the high tide had erased any evidence it was ever there.“Join us.” Domey heard a whisper and spun around. His heart pounded. He saw nobody. The guard tower was empty. It was getting dark but not so dark that someone could be hiding from him. The beach was empty. All he could hear now was waves rolling onto shore."Join us.” He looked in the direction of the voice, it was coming from the Sea. Domey started walking that way. He didn’t mean to, but couldn’t help it it was an instinct. When the water hit his ankles he felt a warmth over his whole body. By the time he was up to his hips he was giggling. He waded to his chest and felt the happiest he’d felt his entire life. He dropped to his knees and disappeared into the surf. He took a deep breath and let the water fill his lungs. Domey is dead. He was a Blackshore Teen. Another missing kid was the last straw for the other boys. The next morning they decided they were going to take this Island by force. They planned on using the ventilation system to escape their dorms that evening and raid the gym for the old baseball gear that had been sitting for years.
